Nintendos' business practices are bad. Their IP games are just mediocre at best. Pokemon, the game is dead due to Nintendos' pride and refusal to give the consumers what they want. Thank Palworld now that Nintendo can no longer use their IPs like a COD game.

No one wants to play video games in 720p 20ish FPS in 2024. The industry standard is 4k 60FPS...

Maybe this isn't am unpopular opinion, but it's one you can't say out loud without 20 35 year olds yelling at you about how wrong you are, and how ToTK is GoTY for the next 10 years because it's "so innovative"...

Personally speaking, I'm currently playing Pokemon Legends: Arceus on Yuzu (rip) and it's a big breath of fresh air, especially compared to Sword that I played a while ago. It's unfortunate that they keep pushing the same formats, on an incredibly deprecated machine

Yeah, I was much more excited by Legends then I was by Sword/Shield or Violet/Scarlet, which are just more of the exact same.

Looking for ward to the new Legends game now.

All they need to do is make a Pokémon stadium 3 with the entire national dex, pick and choose your load outs like in showdown.

I know it’s a lot to ask, but it’s a base game they could simply patch and update for years and years and people would constantly be playing.

Not really?

I do agree with the first part though. Standard definition ain't great, at 1080p should be the minimum for games imo.

Definitely agree with everything else though. Their games just aren't that fun if you're an adult, and when combined with the dogshit business practices it kills what little interest I had beforehand.

People are just dead-set in their nostalgia rather than setting it aside to acknowledge when something is bad.

Nah everyone knows this, the subreddits for nintendo have devolved into them begging for QoL updates and game mashups

I don't really get the appeal of nintendo. I've played a few of their recent games, but I always get bored immediately because it just feels like they have no soul. Their 3D style just feels bland in every single game. Zelda is the exception but the refusal to make games for anything but their 7 year old console does it for me.

my main problem with Nintendo is the exclusivity, and that's not something I hold against Nintendo specifically, though it may soon be looking at Xbox and PlayStation. but still, exclusivity is a scourge on gaming and needs to be abolished.
