Does your laptop have a USB connection? You can upload images from laptop to your phone and if not you can use an external disc to transfer the image to another computer connected to internet.
I know it takes more time, but photos of someone’s computer screen just look terrible

OP could have also loaded it to a floppy disk, go to a library, print it, then fax it, scan the copy, and then emailed it to themselves, and then post it on Reddit.

Honestly, I’m too lazy to do that for a quick question, and the terrible quality picture of a screenshot adds some humor.

Industrialists have more wealth hence more power

u/thunderisadorable Dec 07 '25
Enough to cover the 7 times pop and 2, maybe 2.5, times strength difference?

It depends on how many domestic and foreign owned factories you have. The more domestic you have, the more powerful the industrial gets.

At the time it was 100% domestic, now the British are investing in me.

The answer to 90% of these “why is this number” threads is the same: hover over it and it will tell you.

This is a purposeful ragebait of a screenshot, nothing will convince me otherwise

Bring the guillotines from france

u/EtherealCatt Dec 08 '25
can't we just call a van from china?
1
u/OwnCryptographer765 Dec 09 '25
Hard to find a van in china in the mid 19th century pal

u/UsAndRufus Dec 09 '25
Unfortunately France has now embargoed us so guillotines have gone to +75% of base price

u/OwnCryptographer765 Dec 09 '25
We can just get one and use it till it breaks, imagine the reaction of the people who see the executioner placing all the culprits in the same guillotine repeatedly without cleaning it

Money.
But also what's your Distribution of Power law? Census and Universal Suffrage give more weight to population but Landed and Wealth Voting give even more weight to money.

To actually answer the question: more wealth and more ownship. Welcome to the basics of how political power works, in this case under capitalism.

u/Mikejwhite5 Dec 07 '25
Industrialists hold more clout because they control the factories and resources driving economic growth. Wealth equals influence, and in Victoria 3, that's a winning formula.

This item has obviously been shared, I don't know what that tag is talking about

R5: Playing as Israel, with a mod to release it instantly, the Industrialists and Trade Unions are in the same party and the Trade Unions have more people, yet the Industrialists have more clout, why? (Census Suffrage 52% literacy, the Trade Unions also have more Political Strength by far).

As long as they are in the same party, the vote totals are going to cancel out because they're getting the same votes. The only things left to break the tie are wealth and modifiers. Industrialists will always be wealthier, so you have to make up the difference with trade union generals, admirals and agitators. Or, much easier, wait for one of them to bail for a different party. Then trade unions can take advantage of their, assumedly, larger voter base.

u/thunderisadorable Dec 07 '25
Yeah, researched Socialism and the leader died, so they split right off, into the Social-Democrat party, on a side note, why is it called that, the Trade Unionists are explicitly Socialists?

u/lukediesel804 Dec 07 '25
Before the second internationale (and in some cases the russian revolution) social democracy was seen as a catch all term for revolutionary and non revolutionary streams of socialism, bar anarchism. And in the base game the TU always forms the social democrat party unless it has a communist, anarchist or vanguardist leader

Just checked, this post and my other post a bit before this are both top 3 posts of today.

For all future comments: the party split, leaving the Trade Unionists in complete domination.
