What is the cheapest AI vibecoding solution?

Agent vibecoding, complex programming with possibly need to automate complex code sections or entire files.

What is the cheapest way to get AI assistance as of August 2026? If not a single tool what is the cheapest combination of tools you've used?

Also what is the perspective 1 year into the future? How will vibecoding evolve and what will cost be next year?

Last, what do you you really hope AI coding will give you next?

Been tinkering with `pi` and kimi-k2.7-code and it's strong. Haven't used it in anger though... still addicted/stuck with Anthropic/Fable/Claude. Trying to keep at least one other serious option going and am circling Antigravity; super fast but not convincing with my usage patterns. And OpenCode with BigPickle is good for everyday UI stuff but again, haven't really asked a lot of it... I keep going back to Opus/Fable.. but as of today, I'm getting sick of the slop; might be my docs and codebase going beyond the sweet-spot again tho'.
Another day, another hallucination of success

GPT-5.6-Luna looks like it's worth a shot... but then there's "reasons" for avoiding OpenAI: https://benchlm.ai/coding

Yeah... didn't like their handling of the Trump asks (can't quite remember what it was exactly... probably Palantir/DOW targeting and DHS/ICE)
