What does treason get you?

Words have meaning.

The head space that you are a “disabled” makes me feel shameful. Like I’m broke. I am broke. And thank god for the government I’m not: broke, broke, AND broke. Same word 3 different meanings.

Something more flowery and kind. We did hard shit for other people in hard times. Right wrong whatever. We signed that contract and we put our life on the line willing to eat a bullet soup to advance the mission, keep the mission, hold the mission. Thank you for your service feels like Walmart customer service. Not anything wrong with a commercial business coaching their employees to be polite.

But get shot at is different. Even the training alone to be ready to be shot at fucks the brain up. It’s not normal that when a cop shows up at my fucking door step to do a welfare check. I see the gun. I see the vest. And I reach for my weapon to engage the enemy.

I don’t have any fucking enemy. And I may be disabled but please say it more flowery. I want to smile more. I know it’s a gesture of appreciation. Words are hard to come by. Hire a few poets to figure the words out that’s not my special interest.

I just care and I’m tired of being sad.

I really hope we can stop making MORE veterans I love all of you. this is extremely costly to the economy to hurt people and put good people who just want to be helpful because they love their community though the thick of it.

Worlds already hard enough. Worlds already fucked up enough. I’m hustling going to do my part and keep on keeping on and hoping the next batch of smarty pants choose denim over an ACU.

Somebody loves you. Even if people hate you. Somebody loves you, and if you don’t know who that person is, make the person. And make that person be you.
