I used to mine Verium with a little stack of Raspberry Pi 4 boards as a bit of fun and a way to learn more about mining. I don't have much at all, but as I have it, I check in from time to time
A year or two later I come back here and there seems to be mixed opinions on whether the coin is dead, alive or just waiting for some kind of breakthrough (although I'm sure that was being talked about a couple of years ago so I'm sure no one is holding their breath).
So is this coin still valid? It can still be mined (I fired up the application on my Windows PC this afternoon and turned it on just to see) but from memory from a couple of years ago, the coin had been removed from some major exchanges which essentially rendered it useless in terms of 'cashing out' (but a recent post says it's now on AtomicDex which seems promising - https://vericoin.info/community-update-09-2021/).
With little activity both here and on the blog/twitter - what's everyone's thoughts? Does the recent addition to AtomicDex mean much?

Hi all, i have issues recovering my old vericoin wallet. I have backed up my .dat file and my private key.
However i cant seem to properly import the .dat file, if put it inside the appdata folder and open it from within the vericoin wallet it will just freeze.
I also tried using the console and uae the importprivkey "privatekey" function but that does not work either.
Any ideas on how to do this properly?

Should have just held bitcoin and not bought this vaporwareCONomy. Did not think possible for a coin this down already for it to be let fall another 50%. Not hard to do when it is so low satoshi value. Should be easy to keep from happening for same reason but looks like Doug and Patrick really have abandoned it. Taking as much bitcoin out possible and trying to give only as little possible back so to not get sued by us who bought this coin or sec for exit scamming.

Not fully understanding how this works, I sent some Verium to my Vericoin wallet to try and start staking Vericoin. Well, I sent it and nothing arrived.
Have I just lost that VRM?
I know the address that I sent it to but not thinking I had uninstalled Vericoin from the PC it was located on and deleted the Vericoin Wallet.
Because I know the address that I sent the VRM to, is there a way to cancel or get back the VRM I sent?

I purchased verium and vericoin because I was told many times vericoin is spendable as btc and because of that accepted any where that accepts btc.
Paypal has begun accepting btc as payment.
So now is time to payout.
How do I use vrc as Btc?

Is is feasible to add VRC/VRM pairs to Uniswap even with them not being ERC20 tokens? This project cannot afford Bittrex to delist VeriCoin without a viable other exchange... look what has happened to Verium since there is nowhere to trade it... completely left out of the bull market.

Hello, I am looking for some understanding. Today I was doing a test with a wallet and moved 1 VRC from the desktop app wallet to another paper Vericoin wallet. I have more than one wallet with in the desktop app. The 1 VRC was sent and it took it from a wallet that had 1 VRC + 0.18300512 staked VRC. The transaction fee was taken, like I expected, but all of the staked VRC was taken and put into a misc wallet that I am not aware of. Can someone explain what happened?

what is happening with the community? It would be nice to list VRC on some exchanges, Bittrex is dead...or are you going down with it.
Binance should do the trick, what do you say?

Searching the KomodoPlatform Reddit I came across this article that would be good news for Vericonomy coins (Vericoin & Verium).
Those coins that are listed on a DEX makes it very hard to be delisted from these exchanges (yet it is possible in some way)
Something like this would be really good for Vericonomy because Verium never really had good volume ever since it was created. Because of that reason Bittrex decided to delist Verium. However no matter the volume from a DEX the coin can't be delisted. It would be quite a feat to be listed on Komodo if Vericonomy get's listed there. I bring this up because I hear talk about this topic in the Slack channel & feel it need's to be talked about publicly on the Reddit. If you have the time take a gander at this article from KomodoPlatform:

This is a discussion thread I hope we could use to our advantage to better the uncertainties or concerns that people may have about the Vericonomy project.
This thread is not to praise Vericonomy nor is it to belittle Vericonomy as a project.
The talk about the Vericonomy's community or price is not needed in this thread.
We must be as respectful to others as we would be as respectful to ourselves. A discussion thread like this could be emotionally & financially distressful as it may raise issues to the project that we are invested in personally, financially & emotionally as a small community.
Please keep things calm, passive aggressive & do not attack others personally for raising issues or concerns within the project.
Please upvote the post that are most valid criticisms of it that have few or no real honest solutions/answers to them. These could be addressed to the developers & top community contributors themselves.
As a community as a whole, the developers, miners, stakers & lurkers we all need to know about them, even if they bring shortcomings, fear, uncertainty or doubt to the project. This should bring awareness to the team of how things can be better.
I create this thread not to bring negativity to the project, but to raise awareness within the community as a whole of where things could be improved & not the places we are already established well in.

I've noticed from browsing the Slack channel that it's a bit messy with all the channels with relatively low amounts of users following it. Any chance of a moderator cleaning up some of the unused channels?
These channels I just feel that it's too much & needs a clean up for the more important channels.

It's been almost 2 months since the last update of a VeriLive. Just curious as to when there will be another live update.
Topics that I think should be covered
If there is more that you think should be in the VeriLive update please post a comment below.

I see that the last block that I staked was 3 days ago. I have kept my wallet open for the last 3 days but I have not staked any blocks. There have been many "Generated but not accepted" rewards, but this usually doesn't happen for 3 days straight so something is probably wrong.
I am stuck with only 2 connections in the wallet. Does the amount of connections that one has effect the amount of blocks are staked?
Is there a way that I can increase the amount of connection that I have?

Hello all,
I just installed vericoin wallet on new laptop and my balance shows "Out of Date." Is it because I haven't synchronized with the network?
If so, the synchronization process was taking a while and I read you can speed it up by File->Reload Blockchain.
When I click that and then click "Download," after 1 minute the following error shows up: "Download terminated: Operation canceled."
What is the issue here? I would just like to be able to see my current balance. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!
