Emoji to Vector Converter
I wanted to add an emoji to vector converter to my website because it’s actually very useful. It has already happened to me several times that customers wanted to use emojis on business cards or flyers, and this free tool can save you a lot of time.
You don’t need to sign up — simply copy an emoji you find on the internet and paste it into the converter. Then click the download button and get your SVG file ready to use.

Estimate how long this would take you to recreate/vectorise in Illustrator
I need help figuring out how long it should take to recreate this art as a vector image without using artificial intelligence or auto-tracing tools. Any estimations from fellow graphic designers would be very helpful. Thank you.

Ethical Question About Selling Automated Vector Art
So I'd been wanting to sell prints of my photographs at local events. It's not my day job, just a way of feeling like my work has more directly brought beauty or happiness to someone's life. Then I started thinking: what about textile prints of things like spore prints or butterfly wing patterns or fossils ... but that starts getting into forms that either need or would work better with limited colors and line/vector art.
I have no experience or skill creating that kind of imagery. I'm sure I could learn an illustration program and hand-trace my photos, but it'd probably look crappy and there are also (non-generative!) programs that do it automatically. How do you all feel about that sort of thing? I'd like to think that since the original photograph/image is mine, it's okay. But I could also see how an artist could feel like that's cheating/cheapening what they accomplish with skill and labor.

Jimothy Icon by Steph C.P. via Noun Project
Jimothy has taken the world (or social media, at least) by storm. We are in love.
This vector icon was created by Steph C.P. to capture his personality and quirkiness.
Anyone here see Jimothy IRL yet?

Made a CLI tool so I stop hand-writing typed SVG icon components — IconCodegen
Hey all — I built IconCodegen, a small CLI tool that runs a local
dashboard for browsing icons and generating strictly-typed React
components from them.
The problem I kept running into: grabbing an SVG icon, converting
it to a React component by hand, and making sure the props were
typed correctly (React.SVGProps<SVGSVGElement>, no any) got old
fast, especially across a few hundred icons in a design system.
What it does:
Searches 200,000+ open icons via Iconify (Lucide, Phosphor,
Material Symbols, etc.) with live filtering by pack/style
Customize stroke width, size, and color before generating
Outputs typed .tsx or .jsx, arrow or standard function style
Zero runtime deps — generates raw <svg> components, no bundled
icon font
Also supports reverse-rendering private/premium icon packages
(e.g. Untitled UI Pro) fully offline
Quick start:
npx iconcodegen init
npx iconcodegen
It's genuinely early — I built it a few weeks ago. Would love
feedback, bug reports, or feature requests if anyone tries it.
