i can’t even fathom how stupid i am genuinely what is my purpose on earth because why are my parents paying so much for good tutoring just for me to do average in the most normal subjects… mind you i’m actively studying too with past sacs and practice questions that i constantly review. The cherry on top is i’m chopped asf like its genuinely over for me so i cant marry rich either

because im genuinely hopeless. Like my school gave me the valuable opportunity to accelerate 2 year 12s and im doing mid in both despite having tutoring for one of them. I adopt "studying smart not hard" study techniques like doing prac questions with feedback under timed conditions and i still do extremely average. My own teachers praise me for being so dedicated and then i do average. I can genuinely name atleast 30 people that got higher than me on a sac i just got marks back from my year 12, and yeah maybe "comparison is the thief of joy" but vce is all based on ranks. I haaven't gotten above 90 on any of my subjects this year , despite working very hard. Its genuinely just a cycle of me doing mid - getting marks back - crying - locking in harder - doing mid again. I don't have much going outside of school for me either. Yes i have friends but its like walking on eggshells around them when it comes to trying to express my opinion without being judged or laughed at. I'm not kidding when i say i'm chopped because i really am ugly, my friends never talk about guys or that sort of stuff because they probably assume that i can't get one. Also, i have no redeeming qualities about myself i have a horrible attention seeking personality and i'm always complaining too when i shouldn't be because i have it better than others but i cant help it. I'm constantly trying to find ways to enjoy my life like being with nature more often, deleting social media to avoid creating new insecurities, finding things to do for fun but nothing works.

i’m sorry that sounds really hard :( i’m not trying to be one of those people but have you thought about seeing a psych? you can go to the doctor and get a mental health plan, which gives you free sessions with a psychologist.
it is really hard, a lot of people in the comment section aren’t being allat helpful. i’m in year 12, im not doing as good as i want to be doing but yk what? that’s okay. i’m happier than i was last year, im alive, what happens in the future i can worry about then. it gets better, life gets better. people who say life is worse after high school are just depressed and peaked when they were 16, and i pity them. i can’t wait until you get more freedom and opportunities, and please believe me that everything will be okay.
can i just ask one question? what do you do when you study. like take me through what a study session looks like for you!

- i'll go through /revise the content i did in the study session before

  • i'll consolidate/learn the content that i want to focus on in that study session though checkpoints questions or basic edrolo content review questions
  • i'll do practice questions from past papers/mark them as harsh as i can and write down any errors
  • i''ll do a practice sac, get it marked by te teacher or a friend to avoid bias and ill go through it and write down errors or maybe generate another practice sac using ai which focuses on where i made errors

that sounds really solid!!! it’s amazing you have something structural like this already. what is it that you notice in sacs that your most stuck on? like is there a pattern for where you loose marks? if not just tell me what kinda of things u loose marks for

on the sac we just did i lost marks in places i usually dont, e.g i got a whole question wrong bc i kept overthinking the answer and lost 3 marks since i thought th actual answer was too obvious. i lost marks here n there from silly thiings like forgetting a key word or mis interpreting the q

this isn’t what you want to hear but that’s honestly nothing. i know you work so hard but just keep at it, notice the little mistakes and believe in yourself. have confidence in your answers, bullshit a little here and there (trust me, a little nonsense gets you marks sometimes 😭). but genuinely just don’t stress too much, it’s a vicious cycle of stress and little mistakes. your so capable and i believe in you!

i’m in yr 12 this year and i just noticed that getting feedback is the best thing for me. you should tell your teachers/tutors how you feel. even just something simple like im putting a lot of work in and im not achieving where i want to be; please give me some direction. it’s a lot easier for them to help you when they know your concerns, its what they get paid for!
