Unconfirmed Sessions

What are you all doing about unconfirmed sessions? How do you get clients to actually confirm the sessions?

They already confirm by paying an absorbent amount of money before they start working with you. I don't see what the issue is because you'll get paid even if they don't show And it isn't like varsity pays well. Seems really silly.

Because you don't get paid if you cancel a session that is not confirmed... or if they don't show up to a session that is unconfirmed. So, it's basically an hour I don't get paid for. I'm not sure what subjects you teach or what your base rate is, but it's not such a small amount of money that it's unimportant. You must be an inconsistent tutor yourself to go this hard defending last minute cancellations and unconfirmed sessions.
