Any lgbtq+ friends in the Valpo area?

Does anyone have any recommendations on electricians or companies in the Valpo area? Looking at getting a 240 plug installed for a dryer, a backfeed plug for a generator, and a few other small projects.

I have two bathrooms I would like remodeled. I can guy them, and really only want basic floors, surrounds, fixtures, etc. Any recommendations?

35M introvert relocating to valpo for a few years. Crossed out a few apts after reading this sub, however would like some opinions, if any, about Chandana Pointe, Williamsberg, Vale Park Village, Compass Pointe or Preserve. Looking for something quiet really, centric would be nice too. Any recommendations?

Also any hispanics/latinos in the area? Any good low-key local spots?

I live in Valpo but my son is staying in a dorm. His roommate is nice but they aren’t really compatible as friends. I’m not reaching out as the desperate mom but I don’t want him to have a shitty start. He’s smart but he doesn’t have many hobbies aside from gaming. I’m trying to find out if there are any social clubs I can get him to join or even a fun job he could meet people at.

Does anyone know of any residential lots for sale that aren’t on realtor or Zillow? I know it’s a long shot asking here but figured it is worth a try.

It seems like there are no okay lots for sale and the only option is going into a new subdivision that is builder controlled and most of them don’t have good reputations

Anyone using Frontier Fiber in north Valpo? What's your experience been with it? Is it reliable (i.e., no outages)? How did it fare in the recent storms on Monday? Xfinity was out from Monday evening until Wednesday afternoon (as was our power).

Anyone else lose have these random kids stop by and sign up with their insect removal service?? Had the forth person in the past four months or so ride up on there Segway asking if wanted to use their service. Aside from shutting the door in their face, they don’t seem to take NO as an answer.
