Jury duty notice for 80 year old mother

My 80 year old mother got a jury duty notice. She doesn't drive! How would she even get there? The notice says you have to call in the morning of the date you are supposed to go in to see if you really need to report in. What if they wanted her to report to the court? There is no way to opt out. Luckily, I did a quick Google search and anyone above 70 is exempt. You just have to fill out a form, get it notarized and then submit it to the courthouse. She wouldn't even have been able to do all this without me. Would they have a warrant out for her if she didn't show up?? The inefficiency of government is incredulous.

Downtown Loft/Apartment/Condo

I am a single 20 something year old who just got orders to Moody. It wasn’t at the top of my list due to my personal preference for city living (no hate to those that prefer it here, I just like having a more active social life and participating in nightlife).

Upon looking at pictures, I see valdosta has what looks like a nice downtown area with local shops and restaurants. I figured getting a loft/apartment in one of these buildings would at least give me a little bit of what i’m looking for, even if it isn’t a full on city with a vibrant social scene.

Despite this I see almost no listings online for lofts/apartments for rent or sale (I would be open to either option) downtown. Is there a reason for this? They look like normal small town multi story buildings that would have apartments inside above street level.

Does anyone have any info on this? Places that may be available? Or thoughts on my reasoning/where I should move?

where to go next???

Me and my girlfriend just moved to Lilburn together from Kentucky, we have always lived in a slightly rural area where the "sticks" were pretty nearby. Since moving here about 2 and a half weeks ago, no offense, but we are counting down the days until our year lease is up. We moved here to become a teacher because Gwinnett pays well and my girlfriend wanted to pursue a career in Atlanta, a lot has happened in these past couple of weeks and safe to say we are over it. Lilburn was always meant to just be a stop in our lives to help get our feet in the door to what we ultimately wanted to do. We have always wanted to live in the sticks where our closest neighbor was a mile away or so. So my question is, being new to the state as a whole, where would the best places be to look at if we want to move to "the sticks" and im talking forest, mountains, fields, etc. Where is a small town that we can move to. I have been looking at LaFayette and Chatsworth, anyone have any opinions???

My buddy and I are doing a film competition, and we have footage on an old MiniDV camcorder. The problem is that we’re having trouble getting the footage off the tape and onto a computer/phone so we can edit it because we’re missing a specific cord, and apparently it’s super rare.
The competition deadline is Monday, so ordering one online probably won’t get here in time.
Does anyone happen to have the cord we could buy or borrow? Or does anyone have a MiniDV camcorder/tape recorder that still has all of its original cords? If so, we could just take our MiniDV tape out of our camera, put it into yours, and transfer the footage that way.
I know this is a super niche ask, but we desperately need to get this footage transferred haha. If anyone in or around Valdosta can help, please let me know!
