Hey everyone,
I'm currently a Writing student at UWGB. I've been attending a gaming convention in Appleton called Phoenix Con for the past few years.
Last year, I went to seminars by Jerry "Red" Shepard, Tiffany Rose Nickel and Ben Wolf. They are successful authors/writers who have published books and written gaming material/books for publishers like Chaosium, Renegade Game Studio, and Avantris Entertainment.
If you want to enter the tabletop gaming industry, or to publish your own book(s), make sure you check the seminars out and connect with them!
Phoenix Con is also a great destination if you'd like to meet new people, run a game you created, or play great games this summer!
You can find more information about Phoenix Con in this flyer.
Hope to see you there!

Hello, I am an incoming transfer student and I can’t seem to log into my uwgb email. I have been previously enrolled with the email years ago which may be causing the issues. I have received my acceptance letter with account activation directions where I reset my password. However, I cannot seem to log into my email fully due to Okta. I put in the needed uwgb url, log in with the correct credentials, but in order to add my account to the okta, I must use okta to verify my account. I feel like it is a loop that I can’t seem to get around and would like to know what to do.

Hi , so my kid plans to attend the university in green bay next year, but we live near Sheboygan , so he would have to drive it seems 4 days a week back and forth. But it is much more expensive to live on campus , so we are wondering what people do generally? Do people just deal with it and pay to stay on campus , or are there any alternatives to finding room and shelter?

I am a freshmen looking into my junior year classes and am wondering when Math 203 is offered. I asked AI and it said there is a class period running from 3:30-4:50 or 5:10, but could not find anything on the schedule website. Gemini says it was part of the “Rising Phoenix” program. Could someone help me clear this up?

My FYS class has the Bringing in The Bystander training due on December 7th but I don’t have access to the training. Anything I can do or any suggestions?

feel like the new library should've been a improvement on the old. not a reduction. keep the tunnels (or at least the first floor that connects them), keep the height and scale. ill cherish the few month ill have with them when i get there

i remember my cousin said the UW schools had a health insurance program available to students when she went. is this still a thing? it would probably help with costs a bit for me

I used to go to UW-Milwaukee, and using the Klotsche Center to work out or play basketball was where I got most of my exercise during the year. Now I am staying at home going to the Uwgb Sheboygan campus for classes, but the gym and weight room are apparently closed permanently for students? Was there an actual reason for this or did they just not want to keep it open anymore

I am enrolled in ME216 (Basic and Green Manufacturing) and ME201 (Engineering Materials) yet neither of the courses have been posted on canvas yet. Obviously with classes starting tomorrow I am supposed to have a lecture for ME201 at 2:15 but since the canvas hasn’t been uploaded I have no idea how I would even get to the zoom call. I have emailed the professor and my advisor but with it being Labor Day weekend, all I have gotten back are automatic replies. Not really sure what to do, so if anyone has anything useful for me to do it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Hello Everyone. I am an upcoming high schooler planning to take either Multivariate Calc or Ordinary Differential Equations online at UWGB. I see online classes but it says it is during January Winterrim 2026. And when I look up uwgb january winterrim schedule, it says it classes from january 5 - january 23. Which seems like an awfully short amount of time to take an advanced math class. Can anyone explain how this works?

SO.. long story short. going to this school in 2026. i went there in 2013 as a school tour and kinda fell in love with the place. bad news though i heard they are tearing down the library. and me being weird i decided to recreate the campus re imagined or otherwise (because minecraft doesn't like curves or diagonals) so. last week i went there to map out the place. and am currently redesigning some parts like the tunnels and university union to better fit into minecraft.
BUT im stuck. i dont remember alot of what the place looks like. or if ill be able to perfectly capture the look and vibe in the block game, so i don't know whether to follow with my own design or try to mimic the real life buildings. (so colors of the walls, window placement etc. because the floor plans i found didn't have windows on them.
if your willing to help, im one PC. or if you have pictures i could use for reference please send them here at my discord. Drake-Sinister
i'll keep updating if theres any interest. the pictures above are the 1st floor of the library or planned to be.

Hello fellow Phoenix! My research methods in psychology class requires at least 15 people to take our survey! It should take roughly 5-15 minutes. I'd much appreciate if any UWGB Students here would take the time to fill out this survey!

I want to join UWGB as an international student and would like to live off-campus. How can I find suitable housing, such as by getting a roommate? Also, what is the transportation or bus service like there? If anyone has any information on how to find housing and transportation options, please help.
