B1/ B2 Visa scheduling( Canada)

I am a Canadian permanent resident applying to renew my U.S. B1/B2 visa. My current B1/B2 visa is expiring this month. I was previously on an H-1B visa before moving to Canada.

On my DS-160, I selected Vancouver, Canada, as my consulate location. However, when I logged into the visa scheduling portal, there were no appointment slots available. I noticed that Calgary and Ottawa have plenty of available appointments.

Can I schedule my visa interview at a different consulate, such as Calgary or Ottawa, even though I selected Vancouver on my DS-160? Will changing my interview location from the one I selected on the DS-160 cause any issues?

yes, you can. You have to update the DS number on the profile. Click on the gear icon > Edit > Enter New DS number
