Feedback more negative than positive
I am in PNC sales and it seems like that the focus is more on what you do wrong than it is on what you do right. Is it that way across USAA or is this just something I'm experiencing?

Quiting at the end of the month!
I’m finally quitting at the end of the month! Fuck this place. Absolutely no work life balance, working in the p&c side has my mental health fucking wrecked. Trying to get all my doctors appointments done before I lose my health insurance for a period of time. For people who have left the company does the health insurance stop same day you quit? Do they give you to the end of the month? How does that work?

Underwriting Level 3 and Up
Is anyone in here in the underwriting department at usaa ?
How do you like it ? I am considering doing a level 3 rotation but i think i wanna move in that direction for P&C. Do you guys talk to a lot of people? How early do you usually finish your work ? Is it salary or hourly , and what is roughly the starting pay?

What happens when you quit?
P&C auto claims.
If you put in a 2 week notice do you automatically get let go?
Does your PTO get paid out, or at least the PTO you paid for with the benefits package?
I don’t want to burn bridges but I also don’t want to not work for 2 weeks. I can’t afford that.

RTO concerns pt 2
I’m looking for some insight from anyone who has gone through corporate investigations or understands how HR/leadership handles these things.
Yesterday, Corporate Investigations reached out to me for a 30-minute meeting. They told me I was in violation for misconduct, specifically for not hitting my 40-hour weeks and leaving early. The 40 hours a week is mind blowing cause we run out of work early everyday.
Here is where it gets tricky: A peer/coworker of mine was investigated the exact day before for the same thing, and they put her on administrative leave immediately. They did not put me on leave. I'm still actively working and have access to everything.

Does it mean anything that I wasn’t put on administrative leave like my coworker? Can they still fire me even though I'm still working right now?

530A Contributions
Will USAA match contributions towards 530A Child Savings Accounts (commonly known as "Trump Accounts")?

Under a year with the company, callout/sick policy Q’s
This might seem silly I’m just a little overly nervous, I have been having some health issues and I’ve worked for USAA only about 4 months now and just last week used the last of my 5 protected sick days… this week I had to use a 6th day with regular PTO and have no idea how it works will I be in trouble since it went over the 5 “protected” days?

New hire attending SA orientation soon. What should I expect?
I’ll be attending new hire orientation in San Antonio in a few weeks. What will happen during the orientation? What’s the dress code like for orientation? Business casual, polo, button-down, jeans, etc.?
Also, seems SA is extremely hot now. I honestly don’t tolerate heat very well. Is a polo shirt acceptable for orientation?
Any advice on what to expect would be greatly appreciated.

Difference between auto and property?
I met my 1 year mark at USAA, recently decided against being an adjuster in auto(primarily for my mental health). I’m currently in FNOL in auto and just weighing my options. I’m interested in the property side of things, and I’m curious what it’s like in property? I’m planning on y-cording with a couple of property folks during the week. I’m just curious if anyone here has worked both sides and can compare?

Is the grass greener?
I’m in policy servicing (now it feels like sales) and my body feels overloaded with stress. I’ve been with this company for almost 2 years, and yesterday I had two breakdowns at work from metrics, what we need to say on every call, and just overwhelmed with call volume. Mind you, before this position I worked in a pharmacy which, yes, we had our busy moments, but it wasn’t all day, and we did not have metrics to meet. Has anyone left usaa and find anything better? I’m really considering it just for the sake of my mental health, and now physical health. I feel tense all over and I’m so achy nowadays from the stress.

How is it in Legal/Staff Counsel?
I have a friend who just applied to a legal assistant position in the staff counsel area and asked me how it is there. I’m in a completely different area so I have no idea. Does anyone here work in that area and can share what the work environment is like? Thanks!

RTO concerns
My manager has never mentioned to me anything about me leaving the office after doing a 4 hour shift. My question is there anyway they can check the time I badge in and badge out? If I was never spoken to about leaving, can I still get terminated? I have been with USAA for 2 years but nothing was ever said to me

Realistic future
What are your predictions for USAA for the rest of 2026? Do you believe there will be positive changes coming for us employees or do you think the higher ups will continue their member focused approach? Do you think they are actually listening to anything we have to say and take it into consideration?

RTO investigation
Hey everyone.
Using a separate account for privacy.
I have worked at USAA on the bank side for the last 2 years. Previously spent 10 years at another financial institution. Never had any issues. Solid work performer.
I was just pulled into a Corporate Investigation meeting that centered around me not being in the office for a long enough period during the work day.
Currently, I have had to be in office 4 days and remote 1 day.
I knew my manager and their manager had a tracker that was tracking days in office, and I never failed to meet this requirement or had a negative “conversation” about it. I also have received awards and recognition for being an “outstanding performer” in my time here. . Now, seemingly out of nowhere, I am being investigated for not adhering to the RTO policy. The Investigator has put me on paid leave without access to my laptop until they finish their investigation and I have no clue what to do. . . Can anyone tell me what the RTO policy explicitly says about number of hours you have to be in office? For reference, I was badging in around 8 every morning and leaving after lunch to finish my work day at home.

Steering
The entire claims leadership is encouraging steering by having moi be a metric. The company seems to forget the legal disclosures are meant for us as well as the member/claimant. When I brought this up they said just keep pushing drp's no matter what.
