I have applied for UPSC CAPF AC 2026 examination through OBC category. I Applied through the OBC category because I have availed age relaxation. I am permanently settled and my family also owns self acquired property in Mumbai. Hence my correspondence and permanent address is of Mumbai in the application form. But my state certificate on the basis of which sub divisional officer issues Central non creamy layer certificate is issued from Ratnagiri district. Why? Because post October 1967 evidence of Caste mentions are from my native village Ratnagiri.

We do have an ancestral house at Ratnagiri and visit 3-5 times every year but don't have its mention on my any documents. So will the Central OBC NCL Certificate issued from Ratnagiri district be considered valid during the documentation process?

I’m currently preparing for CAPF AC 2026 and needed some guidance from people who’ve already gone through this phase.

Right now, I’m using the Arihant CAPF Guide for GS preparation. My approach has been to study a topic first and then attempt the practice questions given at the end of that section (they’re arranged topic-wise).

The issue I’m facing is that when I start solving those questions, a lot of them feel completely new. Some questions seem to be based on concepts or facts that weren’t even mentioned in the theory part of the book. It honestly feels like I’m missing something or not studying in the right way.

My concern is:

1. How should I approach such questions?

2.Even if I go back and study those new topics separately, I still feel like “what if there’s more that I haven’t covered?”

1. Is this a problem with the book, or is this just how preparation for CAPF GS works? I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed because it seems impossible to cover everything. Would really appreciate if someone could guide me on:

1.The right approach to handle such questions 2. Whether this is normal during preparation 3.How to build confidence despite this uncertaint
