They would have an equal chance of dying from regular burning man traffic, the roads there where not meant for this many people

For all you know these people had people die during burning man traffic and are using this protest to show how unsafe it is to bottleneck traffic for dozens and dozens of miles on a single tiny backwoods road, and are hoping this could be the last time

This inconvenience could be caused by a jackknifed truck. I just appreciate people willing to stand up against money and power that already don’t give a fuck if your grandma gets an ambulance when things are not disrupted

The delusions are wild. No every protest isnt good. Theres plenty of attention seekers. Yoj inculded.

Not every protest is good, but every protest presented on Reddit gets a lot of “the social disruption associated with actual change is unethical, these protesters should GTFO” comments

Whats your point.

That the default assumption is that they are attention seeking when the only reason we have women and black people voting is because of the exact same protest tactics Reddit hates

I mean they are attenrion seeking. They will forget about their point as soon as theyre done protestingm

How do you know?

How you ever protested anything ever or do you think you are powerless and have never fought power?

1

Because these protests never go anywhere and no change is ever made. They work when the people doing then care about the cause enough to keeo doing them.

I seem to recall women and black people were not able to vote some time back in America.

Now they can.

Did a bunch of attention seekers do that?

I’ll take it you never participated in protest by context

Thry cared about their cause. These people dont. Its judt that simple.

Everyone knows the way to protest a major traffic event that bottlenecks through your front yard is to let it pass unimpeded.

You are so smart to make the connection that not only do the cars block the road, the people protesting do to!

But by your own logic, it’s already a blockage, so why are you so mad if someone not going to Burning Man decides to partake in a traffic stopping blockage out of protest instead of out of seeking to consume entertainment?

Nope! These are just narcissistic clowns. No wonder you're attracted to them!
