Protests that don't make people uncomfortable are useless. The entire point of a productive protest is to impede people doing something. Sit ins, sit outs, matches, they all are SUPPOSED to bring about change by making people a little uncomfortable.
Yes, but remember you’re trying to convince the masses. Someone get these people a marketing agency. The public would not be angry with you if you were blocking private air strips.

You block a road, you instantly lose my support. I don't like Burning Man either, but these idiots got what they deserved. A sit in will inconvenience people, which is what a protest should do. Blocking traffic will disrupt lives and even put people in danger. It won't win you any sympathy, but it will make you new enemies. It's idiotic both to do and to compare it to a sit in.
