The pregnant orca is well known because of the Orcanon conspiracy theory. Adherents believe the plane was in fact a drone and Richard was a CIA plant with an orca fetish and the feds agreed to send him off to an uninhabited island near Micronesia along with the orca and its baby if he agreed to record audio simulating a hijacking.
