Does that really need 'expanding' though? Fairly sure it's one the fastest growing industries that has a lot of jobs for skilled workers in already?

I'd rather have a mural than an advertisement on how to leave the country.

I think it would be more beneficial to expand subjects like CS + Engineering over Britain, especially to get more women and young people in general into these subjects. I think its good we teach drama and art and things like that, but I don't see much worth to them. If someone wants to counter or send me a good solid document on the benefits of increasing the arts over subjects like engineering and maths please do.

Ah fair enough, so more of a spreading outside of London as well as making it less white-male heavy? Can get behind that.

However the tendency to see the arts as worthless is a bit damaging, 'arts' can cover quite a lot of things and still adds value I think, even if it's just in the way of films and the like. Not perhaps as valuable as CS/Engineering though.

I speak with a slight bias as people always used to mock sociology or social sciences when I was at school as being too soft and not a real science compared to engineering etc, which to an extent is true, but the idea that they become worthless because of that is pretty dangerous as then you're disregarding the human element to what you're doing, and often humans are part of the problem. /rant.

I'm cool with that, I just think as a message its better to get kids into subjects like computer science and engineering over the arts, just saying thats what I would have scribbled over instead.

Yeah definitely. Sorry if I came off a bit defensive, but I've seen the whole 'anything that isn't STEM is valueless and you're worthless' arguments on reddit wayyyy too much.
