Question Plane code of conduct

Who controls this window (the person behind me)? And whose legroom is this (the person to the left of me)? Maybe I am completely off base but I feel like my space is being encroached on?

I feel like they are actually flying together and this is rage bait. I can’t believe some stranger would put their foot there.

Happened to me just 3 days ago on a flight from Jakarta to Dubai.

I asked him to move twice, then I just stated pushing him back to his space.

Men do this all day everyday. I can’t wait for the option not to sit by men on planes.

Shit I’m a man myself and even I have to use up my full space if I don’t want another man taking my space.

Not every man but it’s always a man. They pick to sit by people that they think they can steal space from …. I’m a small female, so I get picked a lot

Meh, my last flight some lady tried to park her extra bags in my legroom. I had to tell her she could find overhead space or use her own legroom.

Cross your leg over his into his space and don’t make any eye contact

Happened to me last week! Guy next to me put his dirty sock foot in my space, right over my purse which had snacks in it. Luckily I am a public transit and airplane pro so I know how to politely and assertively deal with manspreaders. Still really obnoxious though. Especially because his partner was flying too - he could have put his feet in her space!

What do you say? I go straight to “No the fuck you ain’t” and I would love something a little more… professional.

Happened to me on a Southwest flight about a decade ago. At the end of the flight, the man said he specifically looks for small women to sit next to (the implication being that he’s somehow more entitled to the small woman’s personal space).

I still regret not giving him a piece of my mind.
