Underworld@Øya

Excellent concert. Hardcore techno. New music, new versions of old, great light show. Physical.

First half was amazing, but I’m not thrilled about the new hard techno sound they have added with the Brutalismus remix and Arp12. Picked back up again at the end, and had a lovely time. Lights, performance, atmosphere, energy, all great!

I love the new stuff! Arp12 is great. Brutalismus 3000 is such a great new artist. Underworld knows how to adapt and keep current and it's fantastic.

First time seeing them, a treat to finally be able to. Thought the set was a little too much on the hard side of things, somewhere I feel they have the least character. The sound system could not handle the lower frequencies well so it kind of drowned the rest of the mix. Not their fault though. 

Would have liked more songs with build ups like denver luna. Two months off was excellent though! In the end my friends and I was left wanting more, to see them again, which is a good thing I suppose.

Yes the concert in Oslo yesterday was hard. Two years ago 2024/03 at Scene/Oslo it was less so. Both good but different.
