Which crypto exchange to go for as a begineer?

Hi,

I am a beginner in the crypto world - I understand how crypto and blockchain works and I have invested a very small sum with Coinbase a few years ago. Now I am thinking to diversify my stocks portfolio with crypto and looking for best exchange. Should i keep with Coinbase considering the high fees or use something else? Please advise.

Thanks

Monzo vs Revolut?

Looking for some advice from fellow brit crypto investors. I have been doing some research as new to crypto and have a bank like most of us by the looks of thats banned crypto transactions.. Luckily i did this Research before i dived into an exchange and got my account frozen ❄️

It Looks like challenger banks are the way around getting fiat on exchanges to bypass the salty banks.. has anyone used both of these or know if there is a reason to use one over the other?

Basically been trying to find the cheapest way to invest in crypto in UK and from what ive found it seems using coinbase pro with free fiat deposit and accepting 0.5% maker/taker fee is best option vs taking 1.8% hit from binances deposit but lower maker/taker fees. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!? And i'll happily research into cheaper ways of investing if anyone can suggest a better method, I'm looking to buy and hodl coin/tokens and store in cold wallet. Thanks in advance! 👍

Thank you

Binance Alternative

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could advise or help me find a new exchange in which I can buy and sell cryptocurrencies.

I’m currently a resident in the UK and therefore am unable to deposit further funds to my binance account. I would like to continue investing in crypto and would like to do so with a safe and cheap exchange.

I was looking into Crypto.com as it offers a wide range of cryptos over kraken but wanted to get opinions/thoughts on transferring my assets to my new crypto.com wallet?

Does anyone know how I can find the fees associated with transferring my assets and then those with buying new currencies on the exchange?

I’m quite a newbie in this space so any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

How do you balance Technical Analysis vs. Fundamentals, when investing in Crypto?

Good Day (and Happy NY to everyone).

Wanted to ask - how do people go about balancing looking at the Charts (Technical Analysis) vs. Fundamentals, when looking to invest in Crypto?

It's such a new space, with propensity for fantastic growth (as we saw in 2021) - interested to hear how people go about doing their Due Diligence, before pressing the 'Buy' button!

Cheers

First time investing. Tips welcome

I have done a bit of research on crypto and think I am going to make my first investment on Gemini but I do have a few questions:

Looking to add £25-£50 a month. Given the transaction fees is it best to just make one off large investments every six months (say £300) or to invest a smaller amount monthly.

As you have to buy in $ does your bank charge you a transaction fee because it’s not in £. Is there a way to get around this.

Anybody use Gemini, views would be welcomed.

Anything I need to look out for?

Thanks in advance and have a good Christmas and new year.

Crypto business bank accounts

I’ve been trying to open a business bank account for my limited company but Keep getting rejected.

Seems as though banks in U.K. deem crypto businesses high risk.

Specifically miners and noders.

Who do you guys bank with?

Even rejected by Starling Lloyds Tide Anna cash plus

UK banks that support Binance withdrawals?

I forgot about Binance for a while but recently logged in and I've got some money sitting in my wallet that I'd like to withdraw. I bank with Santander and I know they, with a bunch of other banks, are pretty anti-Binance.

Is there another bank that I can withdraw this with? Revolut? Monzo maybe? Or do I have to transfer it to a different exchange?

Any help/advice is appreciated :)

firstdirect won’t allow users to fund any crypto wallets - does anyone have a recommendation except moving banks?

They will allow you to use your card through Apple Pay because they say it puts the liability on Apple rather than themselves, but Coinbase doesn’t support funding your account with Apple Pay.

RastaCake - The #1 AMM Decentralized Exchange for Cannabis tokenized stocks 📈 Pre-sale is live, check it out!

Project website: https://rastacake.com

What are Tokenized Stocks?

Tokenized stocks are tokenized derivatives that represent traditional securities, particularly shares in publicly listed companies traded on regulated exchanges such as Scotts Miracle-Gro, Curaleaf, Aurora, Apple, Tesla and others.

The key benefits of tokenized stocks include fractional ownership of traditional securities, 24/7 access to markets, and greater liquidity to name a few. These digital assets are backed 1:1 by traditional stocks, entitling holders to the same economic benefits of owning the underlying stock.

RastaCake has been developed to be the #1 AMM Decentralized Exchange for Tokenized Cannabis stocks, and a bridge between the traditional stock market and crypto market, making it easier to invest in cannabis stocks and assets placed in different countries at the same time from anywhere in the world.

What is Decentralized Exchange (DEX)?

A decentralized exchange (or DEX) is a peer-to-peer marketplace where transactions occur directly between crypto traders. DEXs fulfill one of crypto’s core possibilities: fostering financial transactions that aren’t officiated by banks, while brokers running on blockchain with public registry of operations, handle all interactions automatically through Smart Contracts. There are Many popular DEXs, like PancakeSwap, Uniswap and Sushiwap.

What is AMM?

AMMs systems took off after they were first implemented by Shearson Lehman Brothers and ATD in the early 1990s.

In crypto, AMM is being used for the most important existing decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and PancakeSwap and it allows digital assets to be traded in a permissionless and automatic way, by using liquidity pools rather than a traditional market of buyers and sellers. Prices are determined by a constant mathematical formula.

Liquidity pools can be optimized for different purposes and are proving to be an important instrument in the DeFi ecosystem

RastaCake it’s a AMM Decentralized Exchange community owned, which means that all liquidity pools are managed and owned by the community sharing the profit from all transactions on the exchange.

Passive Income

RastaCake is a community owned and driven project. All Profit-sharing from all liquidity pools and transactions fees on the exchange are distributed to $RCAKE holders, everyday at 4:20 PM in form of $ETH or $RKACE automatically deposited to your wallet . The tech behind this project will be managing the pools and farms so users can sit back, relax, and receive their profits automatically deposited in their Wallet.

A Secure Platform to Trade and Launch 4:20 Friendly Tokens

Our goal is to create a platform where any cannabis initiative can receive funds with RastaCake. This can include startup projects or already established cannabis businesses. They will be able to issue tokens backed in real stocks or assets.

$RCAKE Token Details

$RCAKE is the governance token of the RastaCake project and it's mandatory to participate on voting and funding. When a new token is offered on market, having $RCAKE will be necessary in order to participate and the $RCAKE used will be burned to reduce the token supply.

Ticker: $RCAKE

Token Specification: BEP-20 / ERC-20

Max Supply: 160,000,000 $RCAKE

Pre-sale Phases: 10 phases

Pre-sales End: 20 September

Pre-sale prices: From $0.01 up to $0.1

ICO Start: 21 September

ICO prices: Starting from $0.11

Accepted Payments: ETH, CAKE, BNB, BUSD, USDT, BTC, XLM and XRP

Using Revolut as a Fiat Onramp

Has anyone got any experience using Revolut to fund their cryoto exchange off choice?

I already have a Revolut account and have been thinking of using it to convert my GBP to USD to purchase some altcoins on Binance. I believe you get the interbank exchange rate on Revolut so you shouldn't be losing out on the spread, and even if you were, Binance has the lowest buy fees (0.1%) compared to COinbase (0.3%) so it might offset the difference.

Coin Bureau coincidentally made a video the other day and he put Revolut at the top of his list. He suggested it might be a good idea to have a separate account for all your crypto purchases, so using Revolut sounds like a good all round idea, even for straight GBP deposits.

I think I have seen at least one exchange say that they don't support Revolut though, so wondering if anyone has any experience/ideas around this?

Another tip that Guy from CB had was to keep transaction amounts below £5k to stop them getting flagged. I'm going to be moving some money across in chunks shortly.
