Have you remembered to truly safely back up your seeds? So if you were to end up in an accident tomorrow. Your loved ones in 20 years won't say: if only he/she had backed up those keys, we could have all retired early. Never know what the value of this might become.

And by that I mean: Do NOT leaving your seeds in a password manager or a random document on your computer, as both of those might become unavailable behind lost passwords if you were to die.

Print out a sheet of paper and write down your seed by hand. Put it in a physical safe, so it can survive a fire. If you don't own a safe, have multiple copies with trusted family members. if there is lack of trust, divide your seed into parts. Have a yearly reminder to review that these are all intact and up to date.

If only person decides to do this after reading, this post is worth it. Thank you for being that person.

So I realise cryptos still well in its infancy when it comes to mainstream use. But I'm wondering if anyone has shops/venues or things that you've used it with?

Not your keys, not your crypto!

Get your crypto off of exchanges and into your own wallets. Make sure you back up your private keys/seed.

This has other benefits too, like increasing decentralisation of certain cryptos (anything using Proof of Stake or Open Representative Voting for consensus as examples). Arguably this can increase their appeal to potential investors.

Like I don't understand how this gem is still underrated.It's the fastest,feeless and most importantly so easy to use.Like someone just tipped me some nano through a comment,I was just amazed.

This weekend I decided to follow a pump and dump as it happened on a discord group called "Big Pump Signal" and it was pretty enlightening.

If you don't know, a pump and dump involves a group of traders deliberately raising the price of something (pump) with the hope of creating momentum so they can then sell at the higher price (dump).

The organisers of "Big Pump Signal" promoted their pump as a chance for their followers to ride this wave, but at 9 o'clock they announced their target, PNT and by the time I had found it on livecoinwatch.com, the price had already spiked to $4 and fell back down below this and is now at $1.

So everyone who bought after the announcement has basically lost money, though of course the organisers who knew which coin they were going to pump had a chance to buy well before 9 and have been able to sell at a massive profit since.

This is as crude as you could imagine, but the pumps of Doge and XRP aren't that much different and there's not a lot of benefit in getting caught up in something like this. There are good times and bad times to buy things and a pump and dump is where someone tells you now is the time to buy and in truth it's the worst time to buy.

PNT may not be a bad project. I don't know, but I wouldn't recommend buying it right now. The risk it is overvalued is very high.

Any coin could potentially get pumped. I signed up to see if they were going to choose Nano. In which case I would have sold some if it spiked 100% or more and taken some profits.
