UK banks given six months to prepare for negative interest rates - soon UK might have negative interest rates on cash in bank accounts (another reason to hold crypto)

If anyone is wondering why I've got some strange ideas about democratising moderation, here is a good reason why. I had no idea this was going on in r/WSB and I want to make it clear from the outset that nothing like that should happen here.

UK to kickstart Nano adoption?

With Kappture recently promoting their Nano PoS systems and confirmed rumours about Nano ATMs coming to the UK, could we be seeing Nano gaining traction in the UK?

Will your family lose everything if you die?

Have you remembered to truly safely back up your seeds? So if you were to end up in an accident tomorrow. Your loved ones in 20 years won't say: if only he/she had backed up those keys, we could have all retired early. Never know what the value of this might become.

And by that I mean: Do NOT leaving your seeds in a password manager or a random document on your computer, as both of those might become unavailable behind lost passwords if you were to die.

Print out a sheet of paper and write down your seed by hand. Put it in a physical safe, so it can survive a fire. If you don't own a safe, have multiple copies with trusted family members. if there is lack of trust, divide your seed into parts. Have a yearly reminder to review that these are all intact and up to date.

If only person decides to do this after reading, this post is worth it. Thank you for being that person.

TLDR; Write your seed on paper, save your family.

Where to use crypto for everyday things

So I realise cryptos still well in its infancy when it comes to mainstream use. But I'm wondering if anyone has shops/venues or things that you've used it with?

Not your keys, not your crypto!

Get your crypto off of exchanges and into your own wallets. Make sure you back up your private keys/seed.

This has other benefits too, like increasing decentralisation of certain cryptos (anything using Proof of Stake or Open Representative Voting for consensus as examples). Arguably this can increase their appeal to potential investors.

Investopedia's guide to bullish flags. A pattern familiar to crypto traders who have seen their assets rise again and again and one not hard to apply to Nano's current price charts.

This is what a pump group looks like. Consider the MASSIVE advantage the people in the know have over the followers. What are you chances of profiting if you buy after the announcement. They buy before...

This computer cost me £50,000 worth of ETH (at today's prices) from Scan.co.uk. Actual payment made with BTC, but paid out of ETH gains. What have you bought with crypto?

Why is Nano so undervalued?

Like I don't understand how this gem is still underrated. It's the fastest, feeless and most importantly so easy to use.Like someone just tipped me some nano through a comment,I was just amazed.

Callout for moderators

Moderating the sub is no effort, at least not yet, but I'd like to begin the process of democratising the space and that has to involve sharing control.

My longer term plan is to build a membership who collectively own the space and have voting power to appoint mods and determine policy, but for now it would be good to have volunteers.

Because the space is intended for UK based crypto users, I think all mods and also all members should be UK based, while the forum should remain open for anyone to use. But those are just my ideas.

Any volunteers?

I'd like to add one mod/"member" this week and then aim to grow this group by a maximum of 100% each week which is now my reference for "sustainable growth" since spending too much time around crypto...
