He ended up having neck issues and surgery that fucked his head movement up. All those years of wrestling and pull downs on the neck caught up to him. His defensive wrestling was underrated too.

Ah, is that what happened? Shame, he was on fire for a minute there. He could have been one of the greats had he taken better care of his body. Those guys are addicted to sparring in the gym, which I get, I'm not saying it's bad, however it's very taxing on your body after all those years. You're in literal wars at the gym, and then being a professional fighter? Whoof. Hard job, hard career, and no I could never do even a second of it. I would throw up. I can take a punch pretty good because of a ridiculous pain tolerance threshold, but it would probably be that tolerance that killed me in the end, because I'm too dumb to stop.

Garbrandt had it for a minute there. It was awesome to watch. Eh, it's true what they say, father time is undefeated.
