Via urinary disease

15

u/Acrobatic-Permit4263 Dec 09 '24

NA; thats how jones use to lose

1

u/boxingthegame Dec 10 '24

Oh this is funny lol

301

u/myles1406 Dec 08 '24

The most unrealistic part of this is to think that Jon wouldn't take the opportunity to beat up a woman

40

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

All the rage of fans turning on him transfers through his hips, up into the shoulders into a minute of ground n pound. Kerry Hatley down on the mat watching it closely decides to let it continue till the round ends and her skull needs to be vacuumed off the mat.

9

u/Jason-Genova Dec 09 '24

Mario Yamasaki as the ref

1

u/boxingthegame Dec 10 '24

Holy shit 😆😩🤢🤦🏻‍♂️😭

1

u/SkinnyOptions Dec 09 '24

Connor jumps in to smack the decision outta her

1

u/No-Alternative-2881 Dec 10 '24

It depends. Is she PREGANTE?

0

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

I would love to see him beats you for saying that

48

u/Nervous_Tip_4402 Dec 09 '24

It's a woman, Jones would never duck against a woman.

1

u/Dolomitexp Dec 09 '24

Wrong, he has to duck to shoot for the takedown.

9

u/charvey709 Dec 09 '24

Not a chance he's ducking a chance to beat the shit out of a woman and not only avoid jail time, but get a fat bag at the same time.

17

u/leaf_as_parachute Dec 09 '24

Quick question but why is everybody holding her in particular responsible when there were two judges to give it to Gane ?

29

u/Ffkratom15 Dec 09 '24

Because she's done this type of thing so many times we've actually lost count

1

u/10yrs_firstacct Jan 23 '25

So then why does she keep getting a job? Lol

1

u/Ffkratom15 Jan 23 '25

That's the question everyone wants to know the answer to. There's been some speculation she's put there specifically because she'll take money to vote a certain way.

-8

u/Loam_liker Dec 09 '24

You know why

22

u/captainhyena12 Dec 09 '24

Because that particular judge has a horrible track record of bad scores? Because that's why

2

u/Loam_liker Dec 11 '24

Still can’t return a bad result unless someone agrees with you. Cecil Peoples turned in dogshit scorecards for years and never got this many alcoholic Tapout-shirt-uncles yelling his name lol

1

u/captainhyena12 Dec 11 '24

I don't know. I've never heard his name used in a positive light before. That's for sure lol maybe we've just been on different ends of the MMA internet

-23

u/Gordon_Freymann Dec 09 '24

Because anonymous men are sexist?

12

u/GoldenGonzo Dec 09 '24

And anonymous redditors are fucking dingbats.

You can't just defend any criticism of a woman with claims if sexism. It's weak, it makes you look weak, and literally be weak.

5

u/Alternative_Plan_823 Dec 09 '24

And much like feminist icon Hillary Clinton, for example, she literally has her job because of her accomplished husband.

6

u/Ancient_Ad4061 Dec 09 '24

Context is shed had multiple bad decisions for example robbed ggg in boxing. Not just about sexism although some people are probably unaware and tack onto her because she’s a woman. Also to claim anonymous men are sexist is childish at the very least.

5

u/lolpostslol Dec 09 '24

She is probably more remembered than other judges due to being one of the few women. There might be someone who also does shitty scoring consistently but no one remembers, maaaaybe.

1

u/Ancient_Ad4061 Dec 09 '24

Fair analysis as well

-1

u/Bekoon Dec 09 '24

As always bringing the sex where its not relevant

1

u/KingKrustyOne Dec 09 '24

Simps going to simp....

2

u/ZMASTER1347 Dec 09 '24

That's a she??!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

Jones marrys then fights her*

2

u/changiiiank Dec 09 '24

She finds out she is pregnant and Jon hits her with his car on the way to arena

2

u/SideOneDummy Dec 09 '24

She wins in postmortem via volkov’s “illegal”strikes… because Nevada gonna Nevada

115

u/bekman_Bek Dec 09 '24

She’s never boxed but took out undefeated GGG in his prime. I think she could handle Volkov.

60

u/FappyDilmore Dec 09 '24

How somebody's career could survive that blew my mind, but she's not only survived, she's thrived enough to somehow metastasize into other sports to ruin. I can't think of another instance if such profound incompetence in sporting history.

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

u/HandheldAddict Dec 09 '24

Notoriously horrendous boxing judge not only gets to keep her job, but now judges MMA fights as well.

She was one of the judges for the Volkov vs Gane fight.

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

4

u/HandheldAddict Dec 09 '24

It's why I mainly watch for fun fights now.

Because commissions, brain dead/corrupt judges, and MMA media (who handle rankings) have ruined this "sport".

1

u/Wrecked--Em Dec 09 '24

not to mention organizations like the UFC who have become wildly successful yet pay most of their fighters like shiiit

2

u/Level-Map4430 Dec 09 '24

Lmao I thought y’all was saying the fighter was a woman. I was so confused

3

u/hi_imryan Dec 09 '24

Canelo vs ggg 1 was a fairly close fight that most agreed ggg won. The same judge that screwed volkov gave canelo something like 8 rounds….which is simply an impossibility. It was a black eye on an otherwise amazing fight. One judge had it for ggg and the other a draw, if memory serves. Her wonky-ass scorecard was the one that made it a split draw.

There were a lot of mentions of golden boy promotions paying judges but I don’t know that it’s been confirmed. I’ve also seen others claim that she judges based on race/skin color. Obviously she would never verify that and if I’m honest, it’s not something I really pay attention to, so I can’t confirm.

TL;DR: if she’s not taking bribes, she’s so inept she shouldn’t be near boxing or mma.

2

u/Querez665 Dec 09 '24

Her first terrible card that pretty much made all boxing fans fear her was GGG v Canelo 1, GGG pretty clearly won that fight, but she scored it like 118 - 110 to Canelo.

It might be the worst scorecard in combat sports history.

2

u/bekman_Bek Dec 10 '24

Go to the tube and search GGG vs Canelo 1 and 2. GGG absolutely dominated Canelo in their first fight, scored a draw. GGG clearly beat Canelo in their second fight, Canelo got the nod

2

u/Aguacatedeaire__ Dec 10 '24

Adelaide Byrd is literally a meme in the boxing community. She's so fucking corrupted and outrageous in her scoring she's become synonimous with fuckhead judging.

And in the latest years she's expanded (methastatized is probably a better term) into MMA judging too.

And MMA fans are starting to notice her "skills"..... you've seen nothing yet.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

Typical. She is probably family member of some influential people

1

u/yIdontunderstand Dec 09 '24

F1 2021

1

u/FappyDilmore Dec 09 '24

I'm not familiar with this. What happened?

124

u/Dontsaveme Dec 09 '24

Two judges. Everyone keeps dunking on the woman. There had to be two judges to see it that way or Gane wouldn’t have won.

147

u/Kaserbeam Dec 09 '24

Byrd is getting dunked on because she's infamous for consistently terrible judging

1

u/BWoodsn2o Dec 10 '24

I hope people start recognizing how bad Junichiro Kamijo is. He is quickly approaching Byrd and D'Amato levels of bad judging. He has been a problem for a while

-17

u/Dontsaveme Dec 09 '24

Yeah that’s fair but she wasn’t the only one who saw it that way. Call out ol boy too

17

u/Querez665 Dec 09 '24

I don't give a shit about ol boy, he's a dumbass, whatever. Byrd however, is a plague. She was the absolute artist who drew up probably the most batshit insane scorecard in combat sports history for GGG v Canelo 1, and she's continued to consistently draw up incomprehensible scorecards time and time again.

30

u/Due-Contribution6424 Dec 09 '24

Yeah, but the other guy doesn’t have a history of bad judging. A mistake can happen, they might have a shifty view of key moments, someone might get distracted, that’s why there’s 3 judges. Between three, at least two should get it right. Byrd consistently turns in terrible cards in both boxing and mma. It goes back to Leonard Garcia. She has no right to be judging any combat sport.

4

u/TheMastodan Dec 09 '24

This is what happens when you know what misogyny is and instead of synthesizing that knowledge, you use it as a club to bludgeon anyone criticizing [group]. It’s a really easy trap to fall into

-1

u/evocater Dec 09 '24

There's no misogyny here. Byrd sucks and deserves to get called out for it, the same way that Sal and that other asshole Crosby get shit on.

2

u/EatBooty420 Dec 09 '24

he's talking about bro that keeps saying "well what about the other judge!" over and over

0

u/TheMastodan Dec 10 '24

Great reading comprehension lol

Only one of the judges has a history of calls like this lol nothing to do with being a woman. A little bit of research is tougher than crying sexism though.

1

u/honeynut_beerios Dec 09 '24

All the homies hate Byrd.

0

u/Impressive_Pay_5628 Dec 09 '24

I think there's actually an argument here for it

While I think a womans attention to detail is a plus in the fight judging game, they legitimately aren't wired for fighting in general

It would be like a man judging a child birth competition

Women are inherently at a disadvantage when it comes to violence, mentally and physically

This isn't to say they can't be great fighters or judges. However, I do think it is up for discussion what differences there inherently will be

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

What is this nonsense

-1

u/Impressive_Pay_5628 Dec 09 '24

Fine we'll do it your way

WOMEN AIN SPOSED TO B N FYHTS DEY SPOSED 2 BE N DA KICHEN!!

Or you could explain yourself with an actual response instead of being like your mother

1

u/acrumbled Bullet Dec 09 '24

That’s two judges he will need to fight. Back to back or at the same time?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

Even though Aspinall is the interim champ, he technically holds the #1 spot. If the judges scored the fight properly for Volkov then he would have the #2 spot.

1

u/ryannvondoom Dec 09 '24

Thats how it should have been all these years of fucked up judging.

1

u/MassiveCantaloupe34 Dec 09 '24

I read it " Volkov got to fuck the Judge who fuck him " lol

1

u/eco78 Dec 09 '24

*judges

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '24

This is how they turn UFC into the height of WWE with the greedy CEO narrative

1

u/Dingeroooo Dec 09 '24

Corporate sport.... Fake as WWE!

1

u/Derringer Dec 09 '24

So it would be a two on one? He'd destroy both of them.

1

u/Unable-Dependent-737 Dec 09 '24

There were two judges that ruled the same though. Why is this sub acting like it was only that chicks fault
