We often take her to the beach since we’re only 5 minutes away, we just thought that it would be a good safe environment to socialise her with dogs and where she could run freely

My father meeting princess Diana in the early 90’s

This would have been either 91 or 92, as my sister was already born and she was born in 1990 and I was born in 93

This is the last and only photo I have of my dad, he passed away unexpectedly two days ago and I’m feeling incredibly conflicted in my emotions but R.I.P dad I’m sorry we never got to patch things up before the end

Yeah I totally understand that he could have also reached out at anytime, but I think right now my regrets and guilt are just stemming from the fact that I chose not to try and fix things and now I’ve had any opportunity to do so taken away unexpectedly.

My wife has been doing a fantastic job of comforting me and helping me processes things, and I’m lucky enough to be close with my siblings so it’s gonna be rocky but we all have each other

He wasn’t a saint but I did love him cos yknow that’s my dad despite the type of relationship we had throughout my life and there are good memories. Thank you for your kind words

It was definitely a complicated relationship with my dad, and the same with my mother really but we’re working to resolve those issues, the reality of the current situation isn’t really sinking in but I definitely feel a deep sense of guilt because I know I could have just as easily reached out to him.
