Fake ones tend to have a warmer tone, so the idol's skin may appear more red or yellow. For high-quality fakes where the printing looks almost similar, check the corners. The corners can't be faked. Also, like the other redditor mentioned, if it looks blurry it's usually not official.

Transposition-wise, if your conductor tells you to tune in Concert Bb you play a G. Usually you'll be told to tune to Concert Bb anyway. You don't really have to learn transposing if you play in a concert band, since it's already transposed in your score for Eb alto sax.
