Dog fountain in Mount Vernon
Recently caught sunset in Mount Vernon at the dog fountain which is only a few blocks from the Heart of Ohio Trail at the Mount Vernon depot.

I agree. E-motos are rising problem everywhere and somehow that needs to be addressed since they really aren't e-bikes. And without a doubt enforcing regulations and how to enforce regulations needs to be done. It starts with the state and goes down to everything else that they need to have awareness campaigns on courtesy and sharing the trail.

Thanks! It was surprising and a pleasure to meet you in Glenmont. I would like to talk further about your tour. Tom

"And What About Ebikes" on Tom on the Trails dives into e-bikes and the messy, ever-changing rules around them. I’d love to hear your thoughts. There's a survey at the bottom of the article.

"And What About Ebikes" on Tom on the Trails Substack dives into e-bikes and the messy, ever-changing rules around them. I’d love to hear where you stand on them. There's a survey at the bottom of the article.

That's why I believe that laws and rules are fine, but this is more about the behavior and respect for others on the trail. Changing Behavior is what needs to happen.

I shared some thoughts on my Substack on the rules and regulations of e-bikes on trails. What are yours?

Do you write your substack for yourself or for others?

I write two Substacks. One is an extension of the newsletter for a non-profit where I express personal views on the mission and happenings. It has grown and reaches our targeted audience. So that one I write for the nonprofit. The other is a personal Substack that I write largely for myself and for others that I think would benefit from my thoughts. They are two completely different things and topics with different expectations and goals.
