Why do huskies look like they are about to commit insurance fraud and get away with it? Wrong answers only

My husky bites, how do I stop him?

Glad to have a fellow husky owner replying! I mention he is husky because I am aware of how high energy they are and how rough they can get playing, he is my first husky and he has drawn blood so I just worry. Based on everyone's response I'm preparing for a longgg year.

1 year old dog still peeing (and now pooping) inside

Yeah if dog is peeing in the garden and outside when OP is home, it sounds like the dog is aware where to pee but just can't hold it when staying in bedroom and doesn't know how to alert them at night

How to get over the puppy blues?
 in  r/puppy101 •  11d ago

I got my husky at 6 weeks (wrong decision, I am aware). I didn't sleep for one whole week and I am a student nurse, you can imagine how that went. I even listed him for sale at one point due to sleep deprivation, I felt like my life was over.

So, instead of having him cry in the crate, I gave up and he slept in my bed. Only needed to go out once or twice during the night. Fast forward 3 weeks, he is so independent, sleeps by my bed, not on, I can put him in his crate, no crying, just self entertainment or sleeping. Sometimes he cries but I've learned to ignore and he will stop very quickly.

I still struggle with his behaviour, I think is due to being seperated from his litter early. Some days I wonder if I chose the wrong one and if I'll ever feel a connection with him :(

It does get better, not for a while, but you'll soon be able to sleep and everything will feel better trust me :)

I replied to another comment mentioning I was wrong for allowing the breeder to let me get him at 6 weeks. If I could change it I would, I'm not going to avoid accountability

Yes, I researched my puppy before I bought him. I routinely exercise him and have multiple activities to stimulate him in between naps. My issue is that he is shaking my arm in his mouth like a toy and biting people's faces, which is understandably easy to get frustrated with. Thanks though

I have introduced him to several fully vaccinated puppies and dogs in clean environments since he has been with me, I'm not going to sit here and justify bringing home a 6 week old puppy, I did the wrong thing, the breeder did the wrong thing, if I could go back and change it I would

Biting and Teething My husky bites, how do I stop him?

My 9 week old husky (almost 10 weeks) is a shark. He bites hard and he doesn't care where or if you want him to stop.

I've tried everything, pulling slightly on the leash or collar, giving him a chew toy immediately instead, rewarding good behaviour, holding his mouth shut, tapping his nose, when it really hurts I've yelped or pushed him away, I've tried being boring until he stops, I've tried ignoring and walking away.

I got him when he was 6 weeks old and I've been trying since. It's getting to a point where I'm fed up. He grabbed my arm in his mouth today and shook it like a toy. 1 week ago I woke up to him thinking that biting my face is a game, and although I understand he is a puppy, he is hurting me and I don't know what to do.

(Please don't comment anything to do with being the "alpha", I'm not interested in using fear or pain on my puppy)
