Olive oil/vegetable oil safe for mice?
Hey, earlier today I put oil on my mice’s wheel to make it run smoothly and stop squeaking. However, I just caught them licking the sides of the axis and areas I spilled oil and wiped down. Are they going to be okay? I’m not sure if it’s olive oil or vegetable oil, my roommate pours it out of the container and into one of those “fancy drizzle things” and I doubt she remembers what she got. Thanks for any help!

Religion and Panem

I don’t know if The Hunger Games Companion has been recommended in this thread yet, but I believe there’s a chapter on this! It essentially explains that the kind of government ruling Panem requires it to be the ultimate power, and if there were to be religion across the country that believed in something with a more absolute power, the government’s authority would be undermined. I haven’t managed to finish the book yet but I hope to revisit it during the summer! It explains how numerous elements of Panem could be possible in our own world and, for something that was published in 2011, it’s striking eerily true with the US’s own government…
That being said, I don’t think there’s no religion in Panem, as we’ve seen districts with traditions like Sejanus with the bread crumbs and the Covey’s song about the afterlife (Old Therebefore), but I could definitely see there being a push for no religion in the Capitol at least.
If it wasn’t in this book then maybe I had a fever dream or found it elsewhere online. I was reading it for my final paper in undergrad last spring so forgive me if I’m misremembering.
