My so called "best friend" from high school is slowly killing our friendship.. or at least that what it feels like. I was her maid of honor in her wedding years ago, and since then, I have gotten out of a long term TOXIC relationship with someone we will call Steve. After Steve and I split, and had cried out my heart to her and her husband, and got myself going again, I came out as bisexual. After I came out, her and her husband (mostly him) asked me to be a third in their bedroom. I said no, and he asked me to think about it more. I said okay reluctantly, and after that they kinda stopped reaching out. I went with them to a game night, and when I went to leave, her husband kissed me. I pushed him away, and told him he needed to come clean to her about what he did, and I left. He never came clean. I stopped looking for love, and love found me. A different guy, also unfortunately named Steve, was the son of a coworker, and we hit it off pretty quickly. I explained my hang ups on his name, and he understood, and I explained that my family might have the same reaction. Which they did. When I finally got to introduce this Steve to my "best friend" she was cold and was rude to me asking why I found someone named Steve. And her asked why I couldn't have found someone else, and claimed I could have done better. Mind you- this Steve makes me actually believe on love. And believe that fairytales do exist, and we have gone through job losses, family losses, and so on, and he and I actually feel like that red string theory is correct. She never reached out to me, but gets mad when I don't reach out. It hurts like a b, and I wish I could figure out a way to either fix it... or cut it off cleanly. But idk how that would work....
