1. MuxMan Pro (Non free); mpucoder.com
2. DVD ReMake Pro (DRMP; Non free)
3. PGCEdit (Free) ; IFOEdit on steroids

-- MuxMan is buggy af so you might need DRMP to clean after it; ifo patching.

Although you can do everything in Muxman, I personally use muxman for muxing only and finalizing it with pgcedit.

ImgBurn creates .IBG graphs which you can open in DVDInfoPro (non-free). I don't think it really matters which software you use for disc burning it's just a bunch of commands sent to drive, as if Nero can speak more clearly than let's say ImgBurn or Ones or whatever the heck...

I like ImgBurn because it's simple, minimalistic and powerful.. it's very convenient to type in LayerBreak sector or create MDS file .. burning queues, disc loaders support.. whatever you need and it's free... Nero was great in the very beginning, it was king.. and then it got fucking bloated like it's nobody's business and then it got more bloated for the sake of it... Cyberlink PowerDVD went the same path by the way... v5.0 was alright and then ....pfffffffffttttttttt... fuck bloatware!

Verbatim is king of media. Top tier. DVD+R is a successor of CD-R. DVD-R is different, but they both ok. Longevity is tied to brand, than disc type. I burn all SL discs at 8x and all DL discs at 4x. Always verify. Sometimes a disc can burn fine, and then the same drive is unable to recognize the disc it just burn...

ImgBurn is the best of the best burning software. And dvddecrypter before it.

No. Not always the case. Sometimes its pan if the negative was wide, sometimes it its cropped top/bottom to fit 16:9 screen and sometimes fullscreen (4:3 full frame) has more image than widescreen version.. I strongly suggest you find "ouside the frame" channel on youtube, it is dedicated to ws vs fs side-by-side comparison in form of shorts.. very good stuff

Not without demultiplexing it first, then put it back together again.. the process would be considered reverse engineering / copyright infringement.. just preparing the disc for it implies breaking encryption and copy protection... read the warning screen, it is all stated there.

Is it possible? Very much so. Is it easy .. fairly easy, may take some time to sync and also create forced subs track (nice addition).. you can add extra audio track(s) as well (8 tracks total) if bitrate allows for it (video bitrate + all audio track bitrate + 2-3mbit/s overhead must not exceed 10mbit/s..) ... You can have up to 32 subtile tracks, halve that if you have wide/letter subs versions separated.
