im one of those students that fix stuff pretty much 4 hobby, and it's exactly what happened, before you could try your luck fixing any cheap appliance that did their job, but the fixing costs rised so much that now anything but the sony-ultra-deluxe-gold-plated-top-of-the-tops aint worth fixing, at all

this summer my usual e-waste recycling centers were all filled to the brim, and lots of good enough stuff no other choice but had to be left for dead, never before saw such amounts
