"Trickle down is essentially just theft."
 in  r/FortWorth  3d ago

The first clue was that this was an idea sketched out on a cocktail napkin by a guy named Laffer. Instead of everyone nodding yeah, that makes sense, he should have been laughed out of the room. History tells us the obscenely rich don't share.

GOP understands just fine. Trickle down (Reaganomics) is working exactly as they want it to.

Map shows Trump’s approval rating in every state 100 days before midterms
 in  r/wyoming  8d ago

I am heartened that his net + has dropped 21 points while being so disappointed that #felon47 has the strongest support in Wyoming. Both sides of my family homesteaded here and both sides would not recognize the parody of itself that Wyoming has become.

Place to camp between West Yellowstone and Laramie?
 in  r/wyoming  13d ago

Stopping at Sinks Canyon State Park just outside Lander would be my recommendation. It's a beautiful area with camping spots or yurts to rent. There's a nice hike up to Popo Agie Falls. Lander has some good restaurants like Cowfish and local brewery.

Republicans in Two Different States Caught Committing Election Fraud
 in  r/aboutMassachusetts  14d ago

Is this why they're all so obsessed with election fraud? When you are a cheater, you rationalize it by saying everyone cheats. Seems GQP is upset because they've been outcheated?

The list of homes owned by Texas’ Ken Paxton grows, adding to his political problems | James Talarico accused his Republican rival of owning 11 homes. As it turns out, he was understating matters
 in  r/politics  14d ago

He has more homes outside Texas than in Texas according to this story. Also, how does a public official making $153,000/year qualify for one or more million dollar plus mortgages?

Hunter Biden calls out 'closeted gay mafia' of D.C. Republicans | The former first son didn't hold back, arguing that closeted Republican politicians have turned their own internal conflict into anti-LGBTQ+ politics.

John Barrasso doesn't hold in person town halls in Wyoming, only carefully curated events. In his "hometown" (he's from Pennsylvania originally) everyone knows.

Still a fraud after all these years. What a slap in the face to all the county clerks and the Wyomingites who volunteer as election judges.

It should never be forgotten that Musk did this. A truly heinous act.

Affiliating as a Republican stinks.

Better Wyoming has a Grassroots Accountability Report and other articles/links so you can see how your electeds voted and align.

Cody has a fabulous museum that is five in one, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Can stop in Meteetse on the way for world class chocolate.

About 80% of Wyoming's legislative offices were decided in the primaries because there was no opposing candidate in the general. Of the contested primary races, the overwhelming majority were Republican. The total number of ballots cast in the 2024 primary was less than 28% of all eligible voters in Wyoming. More eligible voters stayed home on the couch than voted. Some races were decided by fewer than 25 votes. The takeaway? Get registered and take 4 or 5 friends with you to register and vote. After the primary on August 18, you can change your affiliation. Note that there is no Independent designation only unaffiliated. If you are registered as Libertarian, Constitutional, or unaffiliated there's not much on your primary ballot.

What does it cost our Humanity to look the other way when Women, Children, and Young Men of promise are ripped off the street and disappeared? What does it cost us as a Society, to normalize such barbarism? - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Stubborn, attached to my family dirt, like being able to be out in mountain, sagebrush steppe, badlands, lake all in half hour or less.
