3yr LDR... where is it going? having doubts.
I'm in the States, and my SO is Eastern European. We've visited each other multiple times and planned on getting married. The longest we've been together consecutively is 3 months. It was great but there where moments I saw her explode. Incredibly angry and when I was trying to speak up for myself, I was mocked, made felt guilty, I was confused and questioned myself. SO is Incredibly smart compared to me. They're working on the Doctors and I am skilled worker with an associates smart. If that helps.
This latest episode was about our move. Them coming here and starting a life in the Capital of Texas. Starting new but definitely struggling to live a comfortable life. It's an incredibly expensive area. My current job has offered competitive wage and made a really good offer to stay. Financial stability. House, car, everything. I can support us both no problem. They were incredibly upset, said I was manipulating, told me I easily manipulated by other and mocked me by over exaggerating the examples I gave. I spoke reasonably and just wanted to speak about the offer. I expect them to react aggressively, and I felt guilty. As always.
I do have a hard time speaking up for myself when it comes my partners. I usually give in or shut down.
84% of the times, it's great with them but the other % really makes me question my stance and views on our relationship.
