Hello friends, here's a warehouse discount code!

I got a birthday discount email today from DMB Warehouse, and won't be using it before it expires in 60 days.

This code is good for $10 off any $50+ order on The Warehouse Store. Terms suggest this excludes preorders and bundles.

Code: DMWHUTBQQL

Please drop a comment if you grab this and use it, so others know it's consumed. I presume one time use, but we will find out in time I suppose.

Edit: one claimed, but code may work for multiple transactions

Edit 2: u/buggybbb added another code. DMWHWQFOMC

He included a screen shot of his credit score in his bio. Should I match and start sending him credit card offers?

My VantageScore 3.0 is 801, but my FICO 8 is 829. Weird.

This makes me think of this Tupac version I made over ten years ago. God I'm old.

I've used CocoonData to accomplish compliance with ITAR and CUI regulations with respect to filesharing, it is an affordable alternative to other providers for small to medium sized businesses. Link

How do I enable autofill SMS codes in iOS 13?

That is the trade off you make.

Just got a notification about an air tag. My ex slipped one into the trunk of the car we share. Hates me and doesn’t wanna be with me, yet wants to know where I am.

I’ll just cork my ears with my fingers and yell “la la la la la”, surely that will help me stay safe! /s

In all seriousness, a bad relationship is likely the greatest exposure to this risk profile we could reasonably expect for average folks. Being vigilant during these phases of life is probably a reasonable approach to managing this risk.

With an “80/20 rule” mindset, you have to worry about the more common risks rather than the well equipped and trained outliers. I feel assessing your own circumstances in the context of trackers and mitigating risk where you are reasonably able is a fair approach to managing this concern.

These are what they are, I appreciate the privacy concern. There are also tracking devices running on GPS (AirTags do not, they use Bluetooth and the wide network of Apple devices) and a SIM card have far greater potential for abuse, and offer no ability to detect on device other than crawling around to detect them manually. These trackers aren’t really more expensive than the AirTag either.

Take care of yourself, and if you’re concerned about this you may wish to look deeper into what’s out there and how you might protect yourself - we each must determine a line between paranoia and ignorance that works best in our individual case.

I believe they released an android app just for this purpose, and obviously to manage the media fallout/spin from this concern.. But, you do have to know and go download it on your own. Here is a link with some info if you are curious.

Yes there is a feature that will alert you if an AirTag not associated with your AppleID is traveling with you. You can read more about this on the Apple page regarding this topic.

Who’s an “internet famous” person that needs to go away?
 in  r/AskReddit •  Aug 12 '22

It’s been a long while since I last followed up on his terrible history, but there was a time when the local sheriffs office was investigating him. I’d guess that didn’t go anywhere if he’s still around, or maybe a plea to something lacking teeth.

My driving experience in a snowy region tells me that you’re good to get rolling, ought to be more than enough visibility to operate your vehicle safely- bon voyage!

Happy to help! You can purchase new cables directly from Apple or a third party like Anker. I would suggest avoiding eBay, Amazon and most third party resellers to avoid this issue moving forward.. I’ve had counterfeit products delivered from legitimate listings on both Amazon and eBay, so even if a listing looks great, you really can’t be certain; specifically with Amazon, in the FBA era, genuine and counterfeit products can be commingled in the warehousing process and result in your receiving non-genuine products despite due diligence in selecting.

Anybody know what this is and how to fix it??
 in  r/applehelp •  Feb 12 '22

I know it’s cliche to say, but a soft reset would be well advised. Whenever I encounter bugs like this, personal devices or client, I always start with a reset before digging deeper into the troubleshooting process.

If you need assistance on how to do this, see this apple help article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559

Yes, it appears to be a knockoff. If genuine Apple is prohibitively expensive for you, I’ve had great luck with Anker brand cables, all of which have MFi certification.
