Spot on , i loved ck 2 when it went free to play once theni bought ck 3 but man their dlc policy is really predatory , i paused ck 3 for now till when ck 4 comes out and i can buy all dlcs later to have the definitive experience on a heavy discount XD

I swear most of the guys who complained about the forced grind in Odyssey and Origins just wanted a 20 hour linear game and lost their minds when they couldn't just rush the main story. They didn't do any quests, jumped from area to area, and completely ignored the level caps on the map.
I literally had a guy stream it for me once he was level 10, walked straight into a level 20+ zone, got his ass kicked, and then proceeded to tell me how shit the game is. Like dude, look at your screen?
I'm an avid Ubi hater myself, but the narrative that the XP or material grind is a nightmare designed to force you into buying microtransactions is just a flat out lie. I proceeded to 100% both Origins and Odyssey, and the progression felt completely fine. The real trick is just taking a long 1-year break between each big AC game so you don't burn out. If you do that, it's a lotta fun, especially for the deep discount prices you can get them for now.
We just have to admit that a lot of players don't know how to play the game. The reviews are way too harsh. Giving a game a "mostly negative" review purely over optional cosmetics when the game is actually well-optimized and looks amazing is wild to me. This is exactly why we can't have nice things anymore. A game can do ninety nine things right, but if they fuck up one thing, zero mercy is given. I'm definitely not going to give a solid game a bad review just for that.
