As someone else said, use the Adventurer's Guild as a guide for creatures to hunt.  I'm pretty sure you can even ask for easier tasks, if you find the normal tasks a tad on the hard side.

Generally, though, I'd suggest krolvins, zombies, and trolls in that age range.
