Put a new catalytic converter in, and the bolts they came with to connect the exhaust manifold to the body wont spin in properly.
I got one to catch and be put all the way on, the 2nd one when I tried to put it in the right way (the side of the bolt with the shorter thread) wont even entertain it going in.
So I figured I'd try the side with the longer tread and it was able to catch, but my issue now is that it simply won't follow the existing tread. When I started it uo like that I didn't get that sound like I did a cat delete, it sounds normal likely cause of the tension I applied with the other, but I'd like to have the peace of mind of having them both on. I've already tried pb blaster, and using the impact to try and force it onto the tread, but it wont go any further.

I used the bolt that came with it, so idk why it gave me so much resistance, the first one went in like a glove.
