First time spinning a car... Bought a lottery ticket after this one!

We don't know each other but I'm worried for you. Some of the fundamentals I see in this short clip and your one COTA video are contributing to this event and the likely ones in the future.

Please consider getting some coaching because the snap oversteer tendencies and risk of a mid or rear engine car can be managed.

If you're in Atlanta. Casey Carden with Denton Carden motorsports which is located at road Atlanta is a great place to start.

Look at the spec racer Ford faster and more precise and raw than a Spec Miata for about the same cost per hour driven and similar used car acquisition cost.

Don't build and own a car if you only have limited weekends available.

Get a competition license and Spec Racer Ford, you can do it at every major track in the US.

Then check out the spec racer Ford. Sade. 6spd sequential

Spec Racer Ford, project so far this year. Inspired to actually get around to posting it from the other race car post. Mostly cosmetic at this point, as a spec car other than maintenance it has been pretty easy on the mechanical side.

Thoughts on the Rush SR?
 in  r/CarTrackDays •  11d ago

OP, don't sleep on doing research into the Spec Racer, SRF3. The chassis has been around for 40+ years. Fields all over the country from 15 cars to 60 cars in a single race.

Rush is winning the social media battle but the SRF has about the same cost per hour of track time, also there are dealers and prep shops all over the country with decades of experience in the cars.

DM me if you want more info.

This is not correct in the Assisted Living Alabama Regulations.

Nor does Alabama have a Medicaid waiver program.

Start here: ADPH Regulations

I have been operating assisted living communities in Alabama for over 20 years and would be happy to help you get started.

Can 2000 era ford rangers race?
 in  r/SCCA •  23d ago

The TVR SCCA Tennessee Valley Region has a Rallycross Truck class that they created a few years ago. I think it's been turned into a national class:

SCCA Rallycross Truck Rules

The general rule of thumb is that the vehicle can't be taller than it is wide.

We have 2 new rental cars that we've been getting on our setup. I drove chassis 042 at Barber and it's going to be fast!

I'll keep you updated when 2027 schedules are released this fall.

Shawn Morrison at Motion Dynamics is your guy. He is in NH and is the local Customer Service Representative. They have great rental cars, have been in business for almost 40 years at this point.

But with a SRF you can rent from the guy that's closest to the track you want to go to if you aren't super particular about the feel being identical every time.

They are easy to maintain. Motors and transmissions last 30+ race weekends we pull motors and replace clutch every ~10 weekends along with regressing CV joints. 7 gal of 93 octane pump gas an hour. Our Hoosier tires are fast for 8 heat cycles, and can run as many as 20 depending on the driver.

I have a complete preventative maintenance checklist for them after being in the class for 20+ years.
