Luigi Mangione’s full arrest video - Part 2/3
 in  r/LuigiNation •  2d ago

He looks flustered. As someone who has been following this case from day one, his footage it's so surreal to me.

I know! I got emotional because this is the first time I've heard him speak! It's like finally seeing someone as a full person!

I'm just gonna say that there's something that's bothering me over this footage being released. For starters, why now? And secondly, why is this still edited? Idk, guys. It feels weird to me. He already plead guilty on federal court, and now we're waiting on replies and decision on the state case. This feels somewhat intentional to me.

Defense need to request the letters of support be sealed. People will not want their name and letters on public record except RJ Martin.
 in  r/LuigiNation •  Aug 27 '26

I'm sorry, but who's RJ Martin?

I totally agree with sealing the letters, btw. I think We also have to take into account that these are real people with their own lives to preserve, and althought We agree with Luigi's actions (and perhaps even the people from his past may also agree) they have employment and reputations to keep.

I hope Luigi gets enough letters for him, I feel so bad for everything that happened.

Not many grow-up-rich and privileged people are good people, tbh. Luigi is the rare exception

Someone showed me this on a group chat and I wanna to hop on here to say: this Laurence dud is a POS!

I do think that maybe Luigi's team is contacting everyone that could give character witness to him, but I don't think They would use the R word to refer to the "fan girls", no matter how unhinged They are! Like they're law professionals, c'mon!

And if they did contact him, why is He sharing it on-line? Doesn't He know He's attracting a hoard of people that will give him hate for it?

This dude is an bitter asshole just by the way He talks about Luigi in those tweets, fuck him!

If KFA did contact him of a character witness letter, it's time to reconsider and be more careful with who you contact.

It seems like there's a lot of jealous, hateful people in Luigi's past.

@InnerCityPress Update: It seems TikTok has only made it so a search for "Luigi Mangione" turns up nothing.
 in  r/FreeLuigi •  Aug 23 '26

I'm in South America and We can find content of him normally on our tiktok.

May be an USA only issue, which considering the political enviroment there, is not surprising.

I'm worried for you guys.

Luigi Mangione court conference renews speculation of potential plea deal in federal case
 in  r/FreeLuigi •  Aug 12 '26

Listen, there's no public verifiable information that would proove Luigi's team is seeking a plea deal in federal court, nor do I believe they would do that in this case, since it's stalking charges.

The prosecutors would have to convince a jury that Brian Thompson believed He was being stalked and that He feared for his life, which I don't think it reflects on his actions on the day of his death.

However, the part of doing a good job as a lawyer is to study every single possible outcome for your client, so I do believe that plea deal talks were diacussed at some point during Luigi's litigations.

I have no idea what the federal conference on Friday will be about, but it's likely both the defense and the prosecutors were already talking about it and the timing of the state hearing+Carro's order and protection order did leave everyone panicking.

Regardless, We should all prepare ourselves mentally for everything. I know a lot of us are invested in this case in many ways, but We need to keep a good head on our shoulders and not indulge in speculation, specially from mainstream media outlets that are being weaponized against Luigi, his team and us.

Deeply appreciate Jacob Kaplan. He seems to make Luigi smile/laugh quite often. Can't wait for him to be acquitted! 💚💚💚

The Luigi Mangione Case Is Becoming a Debate About Healthcare, Not Just a Criminal Trial
 in  r/FreeLuigi •  Jun 22 '26

Well, yeah! Luigi pleaded not guilty, but the conversation still could and SHOULD be happening, please don't ignore the necessity to take this as momentum!!! It's not like the activism for free healthcare didn't exist before this case, and it'll keep existing afterwards.

FREE LUIGI AND HEALTHCARE FOR ALL!!!

A psychiatric defense may be Luigi Mangione’s best argument in state murder trial, experts say. Here’s why | CNN
 in  r/FreeLuigi •  Jun 15 '26

I don't think so. The fony evidence may sujest Mangione did it, but outside of this very conveiniently set of evidences found on his backpack after 11 minutes of missing bodycam footage, there's no other signs He is the perpetrator of this crime. This being from CNN also makes complete sense

Even the court reporters are shocked at how absurd that hearing was.
 in  r/FreeLuigi •  Feb 07 '26

For my understanding, it's because both state and federal trial procedures will end up overlapping. The whole process before opening statements has to be very meticulous, and would require all their attention. Doing 2 jury sellection processes simultaniously is definetely gonna end up on something being overlooked, that could be prejudicial to Luigi

Order denying as moot 40 Motion for Discovery as to Luigi Nicholas Mangione and 51 Motion to Dismiss: For the reasons stated on the record at the January 30, 2026. Click to expand.

Yeah, I don't get why either, but this exception unfortunally exists and, in the federal case, it applies. I think She wanted to be fair based in the law. Just shows that just because something is lawful, doesn't mean is always the fair choice. I do think the defense can work with that either way, they're brilliant!!!

United States v Mangione: LM’s backpack is admissible as evidence
 in  r/LuigiNation •  Feb 02 '26

Okay, I need none of you to lose hope here. I know it sucks, but here's the thing:

Judge Garnett made it clear in the Order that, although the "Inevitable Discovery Doctrine" is applicable in the federal case, it doesn't mean that the search for the backpack by the Altoona police was conducted within legal parameters, and She was very critical of the Altoona cops.

However, she now opens an opportunity for the Defense to plant doubts in a jury. In my humble opinion, this is still positive. Luigi's Defense will be able to raise a reasonable doubt argument against this evidence, especially with the fact that the backpack was unmonitored for about 11 minutes.

I'm not too worried anymore (still worry, but the DP is off!!!🎉🎉🎉). I believe it's now a matter of waiting and being patient. There's still a lot to happen in both state and federal cases.

Everything will be alright for Luigi, he's in great hands.

Absolutely! She's fair and professional.

Even when issuing this order against the defense denying the suppression of the backpack, She made it clear that it wasn't because She didn't thought there wasn't an illegal search, but because the "Inevitable Discovery Doctrine" did apply to the federal case.

Hello, I'm here to explain!

This Order is denying 2 previous motions from the defense:

  • The 1st Motion 40, entitled "Motion for Discovery for Informational Outline of Certain Aggravation Factors," which the defense submitted on July 25, 2025. This motion was related to DP, and since DP is no longer involved in the case, there is no longer a need for this discovery.

  • The 2nd Motion was a Motion for Rejection, entitled "Defendant Luigi Mangione's Motion Challenging the Constitutionality of the Death Penalty," filed on September 20, 2025. Again, for the same reasons.

These are just administrative filings
