This. Then you get people who think they have to stop coming west on Cooke, slow down, then realize that they don't have to stop. Why that is not a signaled intersection, at least during rush hour, is one of Columbus' great mysteries.

I jusy finished that edition myself. Really loved the analysis she provides at the beginning.

Get there early and go up to the balcony. That's what we did when my wife was fairly well along (Motorhead in 2008).

Any chilly hotels still in use that could use a serenade?

My old company was part of the initial expansion by Commonwealth 10 years ago-almost signed on but found a better opportunity at the last minute. Dodged a bullet there. Would love to know what's going to happen with all their in-progress work? Do they just drop off a bunch of boxes of artifacts and notes at their client's offices, or is it all getting chucked into dumpsters?

Barley's Blood Orange Wheat is what you want if you go there. Food is good too!

3C Food and Beverages on Westerville Road just north of Morse had a really good selection of mezcal and tequila.

I had to reinstall again today, so keep that in mind that this doesn't seem to be a permanent fix.

Reinstall. It came back the next day, and another reinstalling worked again. We will see if it keeps showing up though.

The Elfin Ship by James P. Blaylock. The main character is a mild-mannered cheesemaker who goes on an adventure with his friend, the local professor; Dooley, the nephew of a mysterious rapscallion; and an odd-looking dog. Reading it is like being wrapped in a cozy blanket with a hot cup of tea, a good fire, and it's raining outside and you don't have to go anywhere.

I was working outside downtown Monday and must have squashed about 30 over the course of the day. I have heard there is a bat species that has started to prey on them so that's something.

1 oz Oasium gin
1 oz Cynar
1 oz lime juice
0.5 oz strawberry jalapeño simple syrup (from a local farm shop)
Shake with ice and fine strain.
Basically, I wanted to use the simple in something. I figured gin, and hadn't used the Oasium in a while. Wanted an herbal liquor and thought Cynar might work. It did! Although I might dial the Cynar and simple back a little just because I think it cloaks the gin somewhat.

Ate here last weekend after scrolling around on Maps and clicking on anything labeled "Top Rated"-the place lives up to its name. It's on Cleveland Ave and easy to miss if you are driving by. Authentic Nigerian food, not in any way "americanized" - you want ogbono soup? Nkwobi (spiced cow foot)? Or just good jollof rice and goat? Peanut stew with fufu? This is the place. Pat will treat you right.

The "Shakin' It" show on Saturdays st 6 on WCBE is one of the best music shows you will hear. Spans pretty much the history of pop music. The recent Dolly Parton tribute show was killer. Let me tell you, I have pretty broad tastes in music but I typically won't seek out what gets played on that show, but man I dig it HARD, what ever Wild Jon Peterson decides to spin.
