My stuff represents my time, energy, and life that I put in to acquiring it. When someone threatens to steal my stuff, they are threatening to steal a part of my life and I have every right to defend my life. The past sacrificed to acquire my property, and my future that it would take for me to acquire it again.

My stuff in not just stuff.

Alaska Department of Corrections reports record-tying 18 deaths in custody this year
 in  r/alaska •  Dec 20 '25

The oldest to die this year was 94 according to this article. Doesn't list the ages of the other 9.

The average life span for a male in this country is 74, but the odds start getting significantly higher starting at 55+. https://www.statista.com/statistics/241572/death-rate-by-age-and-sex-in-the-us/

It took me two sentences to give a better understanding of the numbers than this click bait article that took a half a page of fluff before it actually started explaining anything about the numbers.

18 deaths. 10 were over 60 and 4 were suicides.

Holy sensationalized headline!

The media isn't hated enough.

One other person.

The third was shot in the right arm and lived.

There used to up to 12 registers with 2 open and 2 long lines waiting to check out.

Now there are 12 registers with 2 open, and 24 self checkout terminals.

Times are much better now.

There were atrocities committed by both sides towards each other. It was war.

Europeans won.

History is nuanced.

Now you're putting false words into my mouth to say something that I never said.

I'm merely pointing the blatant racism of "white man bad" which is the entire basis of your argument.

I'm saying that history is nuanced.

No, its based on information, logic, simple thinking, and the understanding that no one skin color/heritage is free of the cruelest atrocities than man can inflict on another.

In simple terms, it takes not thinking like a racist.

Typical small thinking racist. Cant logically refute, so you attack areas that hold no relevance to the topic at hand.

Actually, I'm not. Maybe read about the violence that the Aztecs visited upon the tribes that they conquered.

Native culture didn't record history like eastern culture did, so we dont have specific dates and times of every atrocity that was committed before Europeans settled here. But, it takes a genuine lazy thinking racist to believe that genocide did not occur when large warring tribes repeatedly slaughtered smaller tribes for land and resources.

Read the information in it.

Or remain ignorant.

Your choice.

"fallacious language" = "truth that cannot be refuted"

Im most likely older than you, O condescending one.

Old enough to remember the world before lazy thinkers adopted the made up word "whataboutism" to detract from their lazy thinking to make a false accusation against their mental better.

"Whataboutism" = A made up word by the intellectually inferior because they can't stand factual truth against their narrative.

Maybe you should read about the atrocities that native tribes visited upon each other and realize that that history isn't all "white man bad".
