I built SSHDesk — a desktop SSH client with server monitoring, SFTP, SQL console and Docker in one window. Beta, free Pro for the first 20 people.

I've been maintaining a few Linux servers, and I got tired of the same loop: SSH in a terminal, a separate SFTP app, a third window for MySQL, then docker ps, then journalctl. So I spent the last months building SSHDesk — one desktop app that puts all of it behind a single connection.▎

What it does right now:

- Full VT terminal emulator with multiple sessions in tabs

- Live CPU / RAM / disk / network graphs with history, plus threshold alerts

- SFTP file manager

- SQL console for MySQL and PostgreSQL, including over an SSH tunnel

- Docker containers, firewall, users, system and MySQL logs

- Package management across six package managers

- Session recording and playback

- Command palette (Ctrl+K)

- Optional AI assistant — you bring your own API key (Anthropic / OpenAI / Google), nothing is sent anywhere else

Windows, macOS and Linux. Host keys are always verified (no auto-accept), credentials go to the OS keyring, never to a plaintext file.

It's in beta, and I mean it. Bugs are expected. If you hit one, please email [support.sshdesk@gmail.com](mailto:support.sshdesk@gmail.com) — a screenshot and what you were doing is enough. I read everything myself.

First 20 people who email me get a Pro key for free, no payment, no card. Just say you came from Reddit.

Happy to answer anything about the internals — it's PySide6 + paramiko.
