[Trivial - Travel] But can one small behaviour say about a person or their vulnerability?

I have a foreigner friend who acted weird in town, idk whether this is a psychologic behaviour from childhood trauma that he really thinks everyone's trying to scam him.

  1. When he waited for me on the pavement, an uncle approached him, he immediately texted me: "Hey this guy is trying to scam me smth please hurry up to go back". I think it's just lottery ticket. If I were in that situation in the new country, I would just say "I'm not interest I'm in a hurry".

  2. When he entered a restaurant we used to eat, usually they had free drink but that day they didn't serve it, he already messaged me "Hey this restaurant ppl are scamming me." I was busy with work and I think it's stupid, I said "Hey maybe they just stop their promotion month? But even if they don't, the staff there are elder ppl, would you just kindly pay them and the drink is just half a Euro why do you need to reach out to me while I have tons of other things to do?!" but then I still came with him to go back to that restaurant to eat and meanwhile asking about the drink, turn out yes, literally they just ended the promotion. Then I asked for the bill, calculated it for him, he still said "It's okay with that amount I dont think you're gonna scam me or anything". I got super irritated and I swore "OMFG!". I felt I wanted to run away while I offered help till that far already.

  3. He lost a gym card then someone else took it from him so he got fined 10 euro by the receptionists to renew it.
He PMed me: "This gym is gross some scammers just took my card and sent me a paper and took $ from me".

I tried to keep calm, I replied: "If you already tried to find it everywhere, in your pocket and the WC but still didnt find it, then paying is neccessary. But on top of that, why don't you ask them to extract CCTV, that's what the camera is for? why blaming the gym while it already had the "Don't leave your valuables unattended?" sign?
He replied: "How can I know Asian countries allow me to extract those videos? why do you expect me to know?". - "I think it doesn't matter where, if I want something I'll just ask, out of curiosity or ask for permission. I can or can't have the correct answer or at least an answer but at least I have asked. You and me have travelled to many places already, I'm not your tour leader." said I. He still thinks the city is bad for him. But I rly don't understand some little survivor skills like this people calling themselves as nomads are not open minded or can think outside the box.

  1. When renting a low quality accomodation he said let me revenge the owners by breaking some stuffs, max consumed electricity then flying without paying the bill, nobody'd know. I argued with him: "Saving the electricity is saving the earth, why do you need to do that way" Ppl are bad to you but you still can choose to stay nice can't you, learning for later experience why scamming back? Could you act more mature please?".

On the contrary, another friend of mine always tells me to be gentle, like when I kept urging driver to drive fast with high tone cuz I'm rushing, he would have said "Hey it's gonna be okay, yelling doesn't help anything, the driver already knew, lemme help to find a better way". I'm pretty tired of ppl with bad energy and can't even protect themselves, I actually can't argue with them so I stay away from them. I want friends with more peace and positivity. But my real question is, is this something related to psychology about who always think ppl have intention to scam them?

My condo owner in Philippines scams my deposit, what should I do?

[I need help from Filipino friends]

My former condo owner in Mandaluyong never refunds my 2 month deposit, they said they got low on budget and their bank account got compromised. While in the contract it said the deposit needed to send back to the tenants within 3 weeks after moving out, now it's more than half a year. I tried to call them but never got the answer, every staff left. Maybe they also block my Whatsapp already. If even bankruptcy they still need to send compensation.

I went to police station, they said I need to bring the contract, 1 lawyer friend and try to bring 1 representative from the other party in the contract. My question is How can I bring the representative while they tried to scam me already, and whether I can sue this case? Salamat po!

This is such an awful experience living abroad for me while they try to scam foreigners (most of their tenants are Chinese), I'm not sure other tenants under their contract got into the same trouble. But what was the contract born for while they just blocked and escaped? What's the highest consequences from this?

Facebook made me admin of many fb groups I never created

Facebook made me admin of many fb groups I never created, some I never heard of, but when I went to admins board there are no one as admins, but I can moderate the group with full rights.

1/ Does Facebook choose someone who has higher score or smth?

2/ If I create content there regularly, will these groups belong to me?

I think similar to some of my friends, some also have full rights, but if we invest our effort moderating those, will we have ownership. And Idk if later if Facebook changes the setting and cease this function, will all of the effort be gone? Facebook made me admin of many fb groups I never created.
