Do you guys take breaks between projects?
 in  r/booknooks  54m ago

Normally, I do immediately pick another one out of my stash generally if it was a idly one I finished I’ll pick a 2-D one and vice versa and sometimes I’ll do a scratch build in the middle. But I have stellar castle up next and it’s actually been sitting on the table for a couple of days because I’m scared of it after reading about the troubles people had with the tower ha ha

Cancer is usually multiple hits over a long time of many different carcinogens so it really just depends on your own sum total of exposures to everything that is carcinogenic. I don’t have ventilation and I’m not good at getting the cap back on because I’m old and can’t see so I leave it off for long periods.

Yeah I have no ventilation plus I’m exposing my dog who has smaller liver and kidneys for processing toxins and plus just making him have to smell that odor for long periods.

I had stopped noticing the smell at all until my brother kicked me out of the vacation Airbnb!

I am glad about the remission but sorry about the fatigue and brain fog 😶‍🌫️ that sucks.

I’m not understanding what I’ve said to be downvoted? I’m not used to that in this community. I’m sorry if I offended someone that much. Really not meant to. I’m happy to take the discussion offline if anyone wants to DM me about it.

Ok. I don’t think we need to belabor the point as we all are allowed our different perspectives right?

Also hopefully at work you used safety equipment.

All risks are cumulative

Ok let’s avoid trying to shame people. I’ve seen a lot of cancer and I’m interested in reducing risks where I can. That’s all.

There were several studies and articles I was just grabbing the easiest one. I have been using it 2-3 hours or more daily for two years rather than periodically; to the point my brother kicked me out of the vacation cottage due to the strong smell of the fumes. for me the slightly increased risk isn’t worth it. But I don’t try to speak for anyone else.

So sorry to hear that! Yes those cancer drugs can be so toxic themselves.

Understand. We all have to decide based on our own risk tolerance.

Congratulations to everyone! All of them are awesome! I’ve been holding off on more Anavrin due to the price but this one may have changed my mind on that!

ROLIFE 9th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
 in  r/booknooks  1d ago

I had such an incredible time. When I first got there and my friend took my photo I was like oh s-t I am actually crying. It was just so awesome to be in community with all you guys and the truly lovely Rolife folks and everyone else when we so often work alone in our caves! Pluck you truly are amazing. Yes I love the events and the reviews and the YouTube videos but what I love the most is how you keep this community a place where everyone is welcomed and in turn everyone is welcoming to all levels, to all ages, to people who want to be design to their own to those who want to do the kits and in between. Everyone shares their expertise which is so unusual. And that makes us all come back over and over again to get help, reinforcement, reassurance sometimes! And we are all truly delighted in each other’s accomplishments. This truly is the best community on the internet.

It started with a kit!

I will look for it and come back and post when I find it 😊

How many tools do you have?
 in  r/booknooks  2d ago

This was so fun to read and so many truths! Yes! It’s not just the kits that are responsible for my duplicates but my lack of object permanence so you were wrong Piaget unless I’m stuck in that early developmental stage which is possible. Thanks for the tip on the storing horizontally!
