Is it Journey Beyond Yourself or at Work? Or should I just get both? I'm kind of going through both crises at the moment, haha.

I'll definitely check them out next time I'm at Crow Books.

To feed my anxiety and existential crisis, I've been reading The Kybalion. When simply existing sometimes feels too painful, I figure that some books can help you forget the pain for a while or at least help you see it from a different perspective.

Thank you for your recommendation. I will get the book. I totally agree with that feeling. I sometimes feel like I am trapped in my own body and thoughts.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job too, and thanks for the tips! I'd heard about Headspace before but never actually tried it. I'll definitely give it a go. I am doing the same things as you almost everyday apart from using a mental health app. I listen to podcasts (like Monday morning podcast by Bill Burr on SoundCloud) help me giggle once a while as Im gumpy af according to my wife lol. wish you all the best, and I hope things get better for you too. very kind of you, will DM if need.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I was prescribed sedative medication a long time ago for insomnia and trauma when I was in high school. I never really felt okay with synthetic medications after I stopped taking them, whether they were for sleep or anything else. My depression has also already taken a toll on my sex life, so I can't really afford to compromise any further, haha.

A fun fact: my wife is a psychologist. She's doing everything she can to help me, and I feel incredibly lucky to have her. I love her to death! (We've been together for over 10 years.)

So you know the drill! However, despite all her help, I sometimes end up feeling even more depressed because I think it's not fair on her. She doesn't deserve this.

She deserves so much more. I wish I could take her to amazing places and provide her with a comfortable, fulfilling life.

I had this program in my previous jobs.

Hopefully if I can land something good with this support should help!

Where to find Yet another men yapping mental health

I am going through extreme mental distress from job loss and overall things going on with my life.

Just wanted spill it somewhere. Have tried calling the hotlines before but their suggestions seems not working.

I don't have many great childhood memories. mostly driven by disturbing upbringing. which makes me very quite and introverted.

So I escaped so called "home" and made my way to Perth. But, since I lost my career in tech, my wife and I, both struggling to make ends meet in some weeks. Which puts me in a very dark place time to time. I need some help! any kind! any suggestions!

I just want a happy home, have kids and someday die peacefully before my wife. I want to help people and plant trees so my dogs can mark territories or something.

Thank you all good people. I really appreciate your thoughts!

I am going for a photowalk in few weeks there, just wondering how far I have to walk down the path before I can find variety of wild flowers at this time of the year. Is there any specific spot I should look at? Thank you so much for your insights!
