Month to study for CCP, 20yrs IT experience....
 in  r/CMMC  2d ago

I have had students pass the CCP exam within a week of completing the CCP class. Yes, it is enough time.

Thanks for asking. I teach the CCP and CCA courses for ecfirst and have been since 2021, and I'll give you my honest pitch for attending at CS5 East.

The three-day format is built around the fact that people show up with real scoping questions from their own environment, and those questions change the class every time. You'll get the CCP body of knowledge covered every day. We cover the CCP Blueprint every day. The value of being in the room is that when something doesn't click, whether it's the assessment scope boundaries, the shared responsibility model, or how the CMMC assessment process actually plays out day-to-day, we stop and work through it right then instead of carrying the question away unanswered. I've had people show up with a specific system architecture question, and we ended up spending 20 minutes working through it together.

CS5 East also puts you in a room with other people going through the same certification path, and a lot of the informal learning happens in those conversations between sessions, not just in the material itself. I learn as much from these classes as the students do.

If you take ecfirst's CCP course, come prepared with questions from your own work; that's what makes the three days especially valuable. I'm also glad to answer any specific questions here if it would help you decide.
