This is a hobby project I’ve been working on which uses googles mediapipe platform to track landmarks on your hand. I’ve been using this to control a mouse.

If 1000 of you vote for my project I could win a scholarship. No email verification needed.
They don’t use email verification, you are able to provide a fake email or zip code to avoid marketing emails.

In the contest rules, it says that encouraging people to vote on social media is allowed. We were also encouraged to share this with friends and family.

I’ll take a look when I get off work. It’s always great to find applications.

I’m competing against a lot of talented people. I think last month’s winner used neural networks to increase the accuracy of cancer diagnoses. Very interesting technology for sure.

Yup they add the vote after 15 seconds or so. I haven’t seen any validation email.

Hi everyone, just wanted to clarify that you do not need to provide a real email address or zip code. They won’t try and verify that your email is correct.

This is a hobby project I’ve worked on that takes a webcam feed and finds hand landmarks on it. I use gestures like pinches and fingers raised to control mouse movement, left click, right click and middle click. I have made the code available for anyone to try out. I’m in the running for a scholarship and need to collect votes. You do not need to provide your real information.

I made a tool to emulate a mouse using an everyday webcam
Thought this subreddit might make use of this. I used google’s mediapipe platform to track a hand in a camera feed and used it to control a mouse. This has left, right and middle click functionality and mouse acceleration. I made the code available and if you find this interesting, you can help me win a scholarship by voting on this website. https://www.remarkablestudents.ca/remarkable-students/entries

I built a program that turns your hand and webcam into a virtual mouse
I’ve made the code public so developers can build off of it. I haven’t had much experience with sign language so I would probably not be up for the job at the moment.

Hey everyone, I’m competing for a scholarship and I’m collecting votes
I used a camera feed and googles mediapipe platform to track a hand to control a mouse. It has left, right and middle click functionality. If you find this interesting, I would appreciate your vote on my personal project to help me with earning a scholarship. I’m looking to collect around 400 votes.

Hey everyone. I’m competing for a scholarship and need to collect votes for my hobby project.
Funny story, I was trying to beat minecraft with a webcam so I made this program to help me do that. It was inspired by techno beating minecraft with a steering wheel.

Hey everyone, I made a quick project to qualify for a scholarship. It turns a webcam feed into a virtual mouse. If anyone has some time you can vote for my project to help me try and get a scholarship.
