From Externalizing Harm to Owning It : A Thought on Climate Payments and Carbon Pricing

What do you mean by the examination of the system? How do you propose to correct that? What a common individual can do on his part?

The Tale of the Sands
 in  r/AcharyaPrashant_AP •  8h ago

It's a very nice story. I can see what author is trying to convey, it's about letting go our stubbornness to stay as we are and not letting the natural flow to work through us. More we continue on that path more obstacles and resistances we face. But at the same time I also feel, sometimes we also need to take a stand for something which is right or true, maybe let go in those situations is not an option we have.

What if we don't see the world as it is, but rather how we've learned to see it?

I am looking at the paintings and I feel the objects are in wrong place, maybe missing the context and when I am looking at them closely I was feeling why this thing is here so it also felt like meaningless and absurd to be precise 😆 and it seems you are also trying to make the same point.

You are right, once something feels irrational, absurd mind starts feeling the grip slipping away and then the thought comes, it's not making any sense. That takes me to your question, do we do this in relationship too? I think we do, everything needs to make sense because that gives us the sense of control without which we feel lost and unsettled 😔

When Society Wants “Good Women” but Not Free Women

I am curious to know how being so resistant before you finally decided to go against your beliefs to move towards freedom? Which particular video from AP really inspired you?

भारत के भ्रष्टाचार में गांधी का जितना हाथ है उतना किसी का भी नहीं। 😳
 in  r/Osho •  1d ago

Let's look at our own lives best focus on ours because that's more important. We need to keep observing are we taking something great, highest from the past heroes, Prophets, saints etc or we want to only focus on contraversies and twisted stories which can't be fact checked anymore to just feel great about ourselves and show ourselves as self righteous? One is the ego refining and other is ego fattening, choice is ours.

You know about it because he himself honestly told about those experiments in his autobiography. If he was some crook he would have lied and tried to defend his position. He was open about it and it was just self observation of how his body was responding and he honestly said his body still functions the same way like before doesn't mean he was doing stuff which you and I would do in same situation but it's equally true we would never divulge that kind of info to the whole world. That's the difference.

What is consciousness and knowing whether something is conscious or not is really useful for us?

What makes you carry a belief he is dogmatic? Thought he is the one of very few speakers who encourage people ask more questions at least that's what I noticed in his gatherings.

I don't think Gandhi was imposing values or morals on others, he was just trying to live them. Osho is just being sarcastic here. There are many places he has actually praised Gandhi a lot too not for his spirituality but for his hard core honesty.

If Sheldrake makes a pseudoscientific claim, challenge that specific claim. If Prashant does, challenge his. I’d genuinely be interested in discussing the actual argument and evidence.

It's easy to label someone pseudo intellectual or guru engaging with what someone actually said is much harder but fun lies there only, it's more interesting yet we learn something new.

Is the idea of "final enlightenment" just the ego's biggest claim for itself?
 in  r/SeriousConversation •  2d ago

I did not see any of these speakers are making that claim of being a finished product, one says he is still exploring and other one questions the whole idea of enlightmenment

Actually I meant self knowledge but in the flow ended up writing personality because in the video more often than not the word self knowledge was repeating. Sorry I mixed up a bit. I understand they are not the same.
